"Children of Redress" uncovers this struggle in detail. Featuring rare archival footage and interviews with the original negotiating team—including Roy Miki, Art Miki, and "Obasan" author Joy Kogawa—the film documents the 1988 victory that redefined social justice in Canada.

"The Klondike Viking"

Bill Hakonson’s journey is a masterclass in resilience. After emigrating from Norway to the Canadian Prairies, a troubled childhood led 13-year-old Bill to run away from home, risking his life on top of a freight train through a Vancouver snowstorm.

Driven by an adventurous spirit, he eventually headed north to the Yukon. Settling in Dawson City in 1943, Bill transformed from a runaway into a successful entrepreneur, building the secure family life he never had as a child.
