The Vancouver Compost Demonstration Garden is happy to welcome visitors. In 1990 the garden became The Vancouver Compost Demonstration Garden.
City Farmer opened our Garden in 1982 to demonstrate how to grow food in the city in small spaces. At the same time we started the Metro Vancouver Regional Compost Hotline. For over 30 years, City Farmer has provided visitors with environmentally friendly techniques for maintaining their home landscapes. Strategies we utilize at the garden include, backyard and worm composting, water conservation
