Words like these are why we do what we do π©΅
This message came from a 2025 Reflections Scholarship recipient... someone who has walked one of the hardest roads there is, and is still moving forward with hope and purpose.

When we only talk about food as fuel, we miss everything that makes eating deeply human.
Recovery isn't just about nourishment... it's about reclaiming all the meaning food holds.
If you're navigating your relationship with food and could use some support, we're here. Our free peer support and low-cost counselling programs are open to anyone, no matter where you are in your journey.

At first, it felt like it was giving me something.
Approval. Control. A goal to work toward.
That part doesn't get talked about enough, how an eating disorder can feel like it's helping you, at least for a while.
Until it starts taking.
Connection. Joy. Peace. Relationships. Energy. Your sense of self.
Recovery doesn't promise easy. But it gives back so much of what was taken, and things you didn't even know you were missing.
Freedom. Community. Your voice. Hope.
Wherever you are in this right now, you don't have to be "sick enough" to deserve support.
