in, social complexities, and legal ambiguities (i.e. driving in British Columbia). To further accommodate their stay in Vancouver we intend to integrate Saudi students with neighboring AMS clubs at our UBC Campus. Furthermore, we aim to expand their horizons through social integration, volunteer work, group events, social gatherings, and employment networking within Vancouver’s bustling community. In addition to aiding assimilation into the Canadian lifestyle, the club will harness and maintain Saudi's national identity by facilitating events specific to Saudi's exotic culture. This includes Ramadan iftars, Eid celebrations, etc. The events welcome all participating club members as well as the local community; we aim at being best in promoting diversity. Our executive team, consisting of 5 UBC Saudi students, have come across numerous metaphorical barricades at our time at UBC (for example, 3rd party sponsorship issues with UBC finance). Independently sorting issues like these was not only time consuming and academically hindering, but also physically and psychologically restraining. We, as a club, therefore, will attempt to at the best of our abilities to insure that these obstacles are reduced to ensure successful integration of Saudi students at UBC and the Vancouver community.
