Rainy conditions are no obstacle to training on drill night.

Our members took part in Emergency Scene Traffic Management training, strengthening their skills and knowledge to help ensure the safety of firefighters, emergency personnel, and the public while operating on our highways.

Regardless of the weather, ongoing training remains essential to maintaining readiness and delivering safe, effective emergency response.

Community Notice – Fire Department Training
Residents are advised that our crews will be conducting various training exercises this evening. We may be utilizing various fire hydrants throughout the community as part of the training.
As a result, some residents may notice temporary discoloration of their water. If this occurs, simply run your cold water tap until the water clears. Residents in higher-elevation areas of town may also experience reduced water pressure during this time.
We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding as we carry out this important training.
Thank you for your cooperation.

We would like to thank the Finance Committee for the invitation to provide input on the 2027 budget and discuss opportunities to strengthen our fire protection services.

During the discussion, we highlighted the importance of addressing aging equipment and investing in enhancements that improve the safety of both our residents and firefighters.

We also discussed the feasibility of expanding our existing fire station to accommodate our new rescue vehicle. Exploring the possibility of adding a dedicated section to the station would help ensure the vehicle is properly housed, protected, and readily accessible when needed, while supporting the long-term operational needs of our fire services.

Budget consolidation is key to building stronger, more efficient, and sustainable fire protection services. By working together, identifying shared priorities, and making strategic investments, we can maximize resources, improve service delivery, and ensure our communities receive the level of fire protection they deserve.

Through collaboration, thoughtful planning, and a shared commitment to public safety, we can build a stronger foundation for the future of our fire services.

Thank you to the Finance Committee for the opportunity to work together toward these important goals.

Stop using your device right away if the battery smells strange, is warm to the touch, makes popping noises, changes in shape or
color, or if you see smoke. If it is safe, move the device away from anything that can catch fire. A damaged battery can overheat and start a fire. For more info: fpw.org
