Due to today's snowfall and changing road conditions across the region, please use extra caution if you're travelling and check current road conditions before heading out. A little preparation can go a long way.

Here are some reminders for safe winter driving:
- Winterize your vehicles
- Carry an emergency road kit
- Clear all snow and ice from windows, sideview mirrors, headlights, taillights, and license plates
- Buckle up and adjust head restraints
- Try to keep your vehicle’s fuel tank more than half full. This helps reduce moisture problems in your fuel system and it adds extra weight to your vehicle.
- DRIVE CAUTIOUSLY during bad weather: slow down, drive according to the road conditions, and stay off the roads during major storms.
- Visit 511.alberta.ca for current provincial highway conditions.
