This week some of our training personnel were able to attend the CTO course offered by NENA. To say a lot was learned is an understatement. A very hands on style class with a lot of tools given to take back and use at our agency to better help our trainers teach our trainees and peers.

Thank you to Berkeley County for hosting this course. You have an awesome training center!

Thank you to Nancy Lockhart for teaching such a great class.

During the week of Oct 5-9, four of our team were able to attend the SC APCO/NENA state conference in Myrtle Beach. They were able to attend informative classes on dealing with suicidal callers; planning a Continuous Operations plan; public outreach for Dispatch; handling trauma, stress & mental health behind the headset; and Emergency Number Professional bootcamp! It was a great week of classes and networking with other SC agencies!! Here are a few pics from that conference week.
During the closing ceremony, our very own Emily Joyner Bass was awarded the Palmetto Award - Thank You for your years of service to Kershaw County and its citizens!!!
