Williams Lake Library CRD

10/14/2026

Big changes are underway at the Williams Lake Library, but the stories continue.

The library is currently closed while renovations are underway, with the branch scheduled to reopen Tuesday, November 3.

During the closure, library staff are continuing to provide limited services through pop-up libraries outside the library. You can still browse a selection of materials, pick up holds, place new holds and get assistance from library staff.

Pop-up library hours:
Tuesdays and Wednesdays: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Fridays: 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Your library card and digital resources are also still available, so you can continue enjoying eBooks, audiobooks, newspapers, research tools and more from home.

Thank you for your patience while we make improvements to your Williams Lake Library. We look forward to welcoming you back in November.

Same stories. A better space to share them.

Please Keep Your Library Books During the Closure

If you have library books or other materials checked out from the Williams Lake Library, please do not return them while the library is closed for renovations from August 30 to November 3.

There is no need to worry about due dates during the closure. All checked-out items will be automatically extended, no overdue fines will accrue, and patron accounts will be automatically renewed.

So please keep your library materials at home and continue enjoying them throughout the renovation.

If you need library materials during the closure, pop-up libraries will be available outside the Williams Lake Library from September 8 to October 16. You will be able to browse a limited selection of books, DVDs and audiobooks, place holds, and pick up requested materials.

Thank you for helping us keep materials in the community during the renovation and for your patience while the Williams Lake Library is being updated.

Hi all. Just a heads up that there will be no Pop-UP Library service on Wednesday September 30th due to the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation.

09/28/2026

Check out our alternate Pop-Up Library set up from last Firday. This is what we had to do to get shelter from the damp day and it looks like tomorrow (Tuesday) will be rainy as well so will probably be in this location again at the lirbary's entrance. Remember that the Pop-Up Library service runs until October 16th on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (10 to 2) and Fridays (12 to 4). Not only can you choose from a selection of new materials for Adult, Teen and Children, there is also a curated selection of popular older titles for all ages. Come by to browse or pick up your holds. Hope to see you there!
