Little fingers, curious eyes and a whole lot of discovering going on!

Babies might be small, but they're busy learning about the world every single day. And sometimes the simplest things — a new texture, a familiar song or a little tummy time — bring the biggest smiles.

Giggles & Wiggles is back tomorrow, and we're keeping the fall fun going!

Join us for a morning of sensory play, songs, stories and activities designed for our littlest learners. It's also a great chance for caregivers to get out, meet other families and enjoy some time together.

Our first session is tomorrow! It's ok if you can't make all the dates - each session has stand-alone value. Register via our Interest Form at https://www.ccchild.org/family-programs

When was the last time you made a little space just for yourself?

Between caring for children, managing everyday responsibilities and keeping up with everything life brings, it's easy for your own needs to slip to the bottom of the list.

Mothering the Mother is a free workshop series offering moms an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with themselves and spend time with others who understand the many sides of motherhood.

Through creative and reflective practices, we'll explore connection, self-care and ways to make room for our own well-being.

Our fall sessions are coming up:
October 22 | 4:00–5:30 PM
Esler Community Forest

November 10 | 1:15–3:15 PM
Scout Island

December 9 | 4:00–6:00 PM
Cariboo Chilcotin Child Development Centre

Open to all mothers with children under 18. You can attend one, two or all three sessions — whatever works for you.
Sessions are facilitated by Catherine Kimber, Registered Clinical Counsellor and CDC staff member.

Interested in joining us? Complete our Family Programs Interest Form at https://www.ccchild.org/family-programs to get started. Our team will follow up with availability and next steps.
Please note that childminding is not available.

Sometimes caring for yourself deserves a place on the calendar, too.

Our first session of Food Sense starts tomorrow from 10am-1pm. Learn how to stretch your dollar while eating food your kids will love! There are just a couple of spots left! Visit https://www.ccchild.org/family-programs to get signed up or add to calendar here: https://www.ccchild.org/join-us Thank you for spreading the word!

Want to make your grocery budget go further without giving up delicious meals?

Our FREE Food Sense cooking program is all about learning practical kitchen skills, trying new recipes and finding ways to make healthy eating more affordable for the whole family.

With six hands-on sessions, participants cook together, share tips and discover how to make everyday favourites at home.

Think homemade pizza, quesadillas, veggie fritters, granola bites, apple crisp and more!

Along the way, you'll learn how to shop smarter, read nutrition labels and make simple, budget-friendly meals you'll actually want to cook again.

(For adults 18+. Younger participants must be accompanied by an adult)
Interested? Even if the current session doesn't work for you, we'd love to hear from you!

Scan the QR code on the poster or visit https://www.ccchild.org/family-programs to complete our Family Programs Interest Form. Our team will follow up with availability and next steps.

Being a dad comes with a lot of rewarding moments — and plenty of challenges, too. Sometimes, a little time outdoors and a chance to connect with other dads can make a difference.

Our new Grounding Fathers group starts next week, and we'd love to have you join us!

This isn't a lecture about parenting or a list of things you should be doing differently. It's an opportunity to get outdoors, spend time with other fathers and explore practical ways to manage stress, stay grounded and strengthen relationships.

Through nature, art and body-based activities, dads can slow down, recharge and discover tools they can bring into everyday family life.
First Session: Tuesday, October 20
4:30–6:00 PM
Esler Community Forest

Facilitated by Catherine Kimber, Registered Clinical Counsellor and CDC staff member.

No experience needed, and no pressure to have anything figured out before you come.

Interested? Visit https://www.ccchild.org/foundry-programs to complete our Family Programs Interest Form. Our team will follow up with availability and next steps.

Can't make this session? Fill out the interest form anyway so we can keep you informed about future opportunities.

The best part? The group will grow around what matters to you. Your experiences, questions and ideas will help shape the conversations and support offered.

At the CDC | 690 2nd Avenue North, Williams Lake
