Our flowers are still looking bright and colourful on this foggy, frosty day!

We’re getting ready to put our planters to bed for the winter. They’re teeming with perennial and self-seeding native plants, just waiting for a chance to sprout again.

They’ll be tucked in safely beneath a bed of leaves to stay warm until Spring, when they’ll burst out with natural beauty again.

We’ll miss having them in the neighbourhood over winter, but we get to enjoy them for the majority of the year!

We love Halloween!

Get your treats, your coffee, your last-minute costume pieces (hello, Salvation Army Thrift Store!), and more from the shops in our neighbourhood for Halloween this year 🎃 And, watch for youth in the neighbourhood tonight when they're trick-or-treating!

Can you say comfort food? The forecast is looking a little brisk next week and Bistro Dansk has a menu that will warm up your insides. 🥰

Their Danish and European home-style cooking is perfect for any time of year, but especially this chillier weather. Here are just a couple of our favourites 👇

1️⃣ Frikadeller with Danish meatballs, o’brien potatoes, bacon mushroom gravy, and sweet and sour cabbage

2️⃣ Their classic Schnitzel with a your choice of breaded chicken breast, pork tenderloin or eggplant, served witho'brien potatoes, and sweet and sour cabbage

Congratulations to Jeff Palmer, who is the new City of Winnipeg Councillor.

Thank you to everyone who ran - Jeff, Kevin Stuart, Brook Jones, Carson Mauthe - for all your efforts and passion for the neighbourhood. Plus, thank you to Sherri Rollins who has served in this community for years! We appreciate all of you!

It's election day!

There are 12 candidates running for Mayor, 54 candidates for Councillor and more than 90 candidates for School Trustee. In our neighbourhood, the four Councillor candidates are Carson Mauthe, Kevin Stuart, Jeff Palmer and Brook Jones. We got to learn more about them earlier this month at a Q&A session at Broadway Neighbourhood Centre.
