Chief’s Welcome:

On Behalf of the Officers & Members of the Greenwich Volunteer Fire Department, I would like to welcome you to our page. The Greenwich Fire Department was established in 1933, in a small, single bay station. Over the last 89 years the department has evolved into a larger organization dealing with a wide variety of emergencies with a focus on providing high quality service to our residents. We operate with 5 pieces of apparatus; 2 Engines, Tanker, Rescue & Utility. We currently have 43 dedicated members who provide services to Greenwich and surrounding communities, as well as providing mutual aid assistance to our neighbouring Departments. Our department responds to approximately 80-100 calls for service a year.
