🦁 WOW, INNERKIP! WHAT A GREAT TURNOUT! 👏

Approximately 90 people joined us for our Meet the Candidates event, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the turnout!

The Innerkip & District Lions Club would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who took the time to come out, listen, ask thoughtful questions, and show a genuine interest in the future of our community.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to all the candidates who participated. Putting your name forward for public office takes time, dedication, and commitment. We appreciate the effort each of you put into preparing for the evening, sharing your perspectives, and answering questions from the community.

It was wonderful to see so many people come together for an evening of respectful discussion and meaningful conversation.

Community involvement is what makes small communities like ours so special!

And now, let’s carry that community spirit one step further!

The INNERKIP LIONS invite everyone to join us this evening for an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates running for Mayor and Ward 3!

📍 Innerkip Community Centre
📌 TONIGHT — Tuesday, October 20

🚪 DOORS OPEN AT 7:00 PM!
⏰ MEETING BEGINS AT 7:30 PM!

Come early, grab a coffee, find a seat and settle in!

🎤 Each candidate will have three minutes to introduce themselves.

💬 A moderated question period will follow, focusing on issues that matter to our community.

🤝 Afterward, residents will have an opportunity to meet and speak with the candidates informally.

☕ Coffee and juice will be available!

With municipal voting now underway, the INNERKIP LIONS would like to remind everyone about our upcoming CANDIDATES MEETING!

📌 TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20
⏰ 7:30 PM
📍 Innerkip Community Centre

This is your opportunity to hear directly from the candidates running for Mayor and Ward 3 Council, learn more about their priorities, and ask questions about the issues that matter to our community.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

🎤 Each candidate will have two minutes to introduce themselves.

🤝 Afterward, residents will have an opportunity to meet and speak with the candidates informally.

🗳️ MUNICIPAL ELECTION — IMPORTANT VOTING INFORMATION

Voting for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Elections is conducted by Internet or telephone, the same methods used in the previous two municipal elections.

Voting Period:
October 13 at 9:00 AM through October 26 at 8:00 PM.

📬 YOUR VOTER INFORMATION LETTER HAS EVERYTHING YOU NEED!

Eligible voters should refer to their personal Voter Information Letter received in the mail. It contains the instructions, voting access information and unique PIN required to cast a ballot.

You’ll also need your date of birth.

🔒 Please keep your personal voting PIN confidential.

NEED ASSISTANCE?

The Township of East Zorra-Tavistock offers electronic voting assistance at the Township Administration Building, 89 Loveys Street, Hickson, during designated hours.

For voter assistance, contact the Township at 519-462-2697.

Our Annual Fall Fish Fry Drive Thru is coming up, and here’s your friendly reminder to GET YOUR TICKETS BEFORE THEY’RE GONE! 🎟️

If you’ve enjoyed our fish fry in the past, you know what’s coming — delicious, golden-battered cod, fresh-cut fries, coleslaw, a dinner roll, tartar sauce, and of course, a slice of pie to finish things off!

❤️ ONE LAST REMINDER, INNERKIP!

If you weren’t able to participate in Sunday’s Food & Clothing Drive but still wanted to help, there’s still time!

🥫👕 Donations can be dropped off at the Innerkip Lions Centre, 36 James St., before noon tomorrow — Wednesday, October 7.

We’ll then be taking these final donations to Operation Sharing.

And once again, a huge THANK YOU to our community for the incredible generosity you’ve already shown. The response to this year’s drive was outstanding, and every donation helps support individuals and families who could use a helping hand. ❤️
