Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) Locations & Training Video
A reminder to Black River Lake residents to note the locations of our AEDs.
It would be a good idea to post these lake addresses in a readily accessible location (e.g., fridge door).
188 Methals Road - ~3.4 kms from the bridge just before the NSP gate
86 Oak Hill Road - ~3.9 kms from the boat launch
1069 Black River Road - ~300 m from the boat launch. Due to recent damage, the AED at this location is located in a case on the ground underneath the damaged AED cabinet. (See picture)
Each AED driveway is marked with a green AED sign on the telephone pole.
For a brief overview on how to use an AED here is a 3 minute video.

BRL Pump Crew Training Exercise Announcement
This is to advise residents of the Black River Lake (BRL) Pump Crew and the Wolfville Fire
Department are conducting a joint fire drill exercise at the boat launch this coming
Monday, May 5 at 1830 hours. Please drive carefully as there will be many vehicles in
the vicinity. There will be much equipment and activity along most of the dam pathway
from the boat launch to the Methals Road canal so walkers and dogs are asked to be careful or, if possible, avoid the area until the exercise is complete approximately 2030 hours.
If there are BRL or closeby residents who may be interested in joining our team, please drop by to observe the exercise and, if you would like to help out at the exercise, approach any of our members who will provide you with instructions.
