From 1-12 December, 61st CBRN CO led the BN Combatives Level 1 Course. Over 60 Soldiers were certified and enjoyed a 40 hour course of intense techniques for close quarters combat.
Congratulations to all of our graduates who maintained “Fight Tonight” readiness through this course.

SGT Faafili hails from America Samoa and is a 92A serving in our Headquarters and Headquarters Company.
She earned a COA and BDE Coin from the DLA CDR, COL Han for her effort to turn in excess for the 23d CBRNE BN. Congratulations and excellent work SGT Faafili!

On 5 December 2025, the 23d CBRNE BN hosted the NCO Induction Ceremony for NCO’s in the Lion BN and the 2d Division Sustainment Brigade Special Troops Battalion (DSTB).
This is a time honored tradition that welcomes new NCO’s into the Corps of the Non-Commissioned Officer. Thank you to former Lion 7, CSM Andrew Rehedul for providing our newest NCO’s with words of wisdom.

From 19-20 November 2025, CSM Rivera conducted the NCO, Soldier and KATUSA of the quarter board. The board included a strenuous PT event, field craft, uniform inspections and a board panel.

On 5 September 2025, 718th EOD CO conducted a change of command and relinquishment of responsibility.
The Dokkaebi family said goodby to CPT Taylor Firn and 1SG Gabriel Roman. They welcomed CPT George Canino and about a month later 1SG Joseph Hong.
The Lion family thanks CPT Firn and 1SG Roman for their leadership and wish them both the very best at their next assignments. Welcome to CPT Canino and 1SG Hong🐲.

On 05 September 2025, the Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC) changed command between CPT Quice Sumo and CPT Michael Yellig.
