On my way to Gilmer County High School then to Wood County Christian School to recognize the senior classes of each for registering 100% of their eligible students (Jennings Randolph Gold Schools). I also plan to stop in several Early Voting locations to see how things are going but our 55 County Clerks are the best and are fully prepared for this election! The pic below is a few of us different “seniors” from earlier this week.

SOS Warner rebuffs Trump's voter registration fishing expedition - WV MetroNews
Donald Trump obsesses over his defeat in the 2020 election and is paranoid about possible congressional losses in the upcoming midterm elections. As a result, he has weaponized the United States Justice Department to try to prove his unfounded allegations and discredit potential midterm defeats. Mea...

STATE LAW IS CLEAR! Voter lists are available in a redacted format from my office, but I’ll NOT be turning over any West Virginian’s protected information.
We have offered to work cooperatively with the federal government to maintain the continuity of elections nationwide, but the DOJ doesn’t have authority to run a state’s elections. I support efforts to strengthen election integrity, but I will not break the law, give up our State’s rights, or compromise the privacy of our citizens.
‘DOJ doesn’t have authority to run a state’s elections’: West Virginia’s GOP election chief pushes back on voter roll grab
“State law is clear: voter lists are available in a redacted format from my office, but I'll not be turning over any West Virginian's protected information,” Secretary of State Kris Warner said in a statement.

I am sad to learn of the passing of my longtime friend and former Delegate John Overington. John passed away today. He was a long time and respected legislator. He was also a respected leader of the West Virginia Republican Party. He was a true gentleman. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. Rest in peace, old friend.

One of the lesser known abilities of the West Virginia Secretary of State is the authority to administer any oath allowed by law in the state. This gave me the distinct pleasure of administering the Oath of Office to my son, Kris Warner Jr, as he commissioned into the US Air Force Reserve as a Major. In the Reserves, he will resume on a part time basis the rank and responsibilities he carried as an active duty Flight Test Engineer until last year when he returned home to West Virginia with his wife and four kids. Congratulations Major Kris Warner, we are glad you are back home in West (by God) Virginia!

AS WE WATCH the beginning of the 2026 West Virginia Legislative session, remember that the Republican supermajorities we enjoy today used to belong to the left. Democrats in those days were so sure of their invincibility, many would refuse to even let a Republican into their offices at the Capitol to make our case.
We cannot become a Republican iteration of the old Democrat supermajority.
Our conservative values got us wins, so we must continue to champion them. Small government, locally-led policy, and relentless support for the nuclear family are absolutely essential to our continued success. If we are to make any real use of the ascendancy we’ve enjoyed, we need to stay scrappy, move as a coordinated team, and continue to fight for our base: hardworking conservatives, young families, and God-fearing Christians.
If we don’t, you can be sure you will live long enough to see a Democrat-run West Virginia again. To our legislature, keep your foot on the gas pedal and never lose sight of the West Virginians who put us in supermajorities to begin with. Have a great 2026 Legislative session, for us all.
