More countries are pressing for genocide case against Israel

The Netherlands and Iceland just joined South Africa’s genocide case at the ICJ, arguing that starvation, displacement, blocked aid, and harm to children could signal genocidal intent.

They’re also making a key point that could shape the entire case: genocide doesn’t need to be the only motive to count.

Why this matters: every new country adds legal and political weight, making this harder to dismiss and raising the stakes for a ruling that could reshape global pressure on Israel.

Former France International and Manchester United Player, Eric Cantona: “I propose an international law that would force any president who decides to declare war to be the first to go to the front line.

They sit in their offices and send 18-year-olds to die… Personally, none of my children will go to war. Why should they go, and for whom?” 👏👏👏

🇺🇸🇮🇷 200+ U.S. TROOPS WOUNDED ACROSS 7 COUNTRIES IN IRAN WAR

The Pentagon released its most detailed casualty accounting yet.

American servicemembers have been wounded in Bahrain, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

Most injuries came from one-way attack drones in the opening days.

13 killed in action. 6 more died in the KC-135 crash in Iraq. 10 seriously injured.

More than 180 of the wounded have returned to duty, but traumatic brain injuries are still showing up days later.

The U.S. has struck over 7,000 targets in Iran. Israel has hit another 8,000.

Three weeks in. Fifteen thousand targets destroyed.

And Iran can still hit American troops in seven different countries with cheap drones that cost a fraction of the missiles used to shoot them down.

From Street Hawking to Holding the Keys: How Grace Rewrites Esther’s Story
…When Power Pauses for the Poor, Miracle Moves Her from Survival to Ownership…

Sometimes destiny hides in the most ordinary encounters, waiting patiently at the crossroads of struggle and grace.
On the calm evening of December 17th, 2025, I shared the story of a sugarcane hawker, Esther, her husband Husseini, and a Good Samaritan in the person of Yahaya Bello, CON. What appeared to be a fleeting roadside encounter between a street trader and a compassionate leader became a global testimony that humanity still breathes in the quiet corners of our world.

It was a moment that proved that “a single act of kindness can rewrite a story that hardship once tried to end.” Broken homes were mended. Dignity was restored. Survival was transformed into hope. In a society hurried by ambition and noise, that encounter stood still long enough to remind us that true greatness is not measured by status, but by the lives we lift when we have the chance.

Immediately after that encounter on December 17th, the couple reconciled and reunited with their children in renewed love and commitment. Acting on the counsel of His Excellency, Husseini promptly visited his in-laws, apologized sincerely, and assured them he had turned a new leaf. With the initial financial support received, they repaired their home, expanded the structure to include an external kitchen and toilet facilities, and completed it with proper tiling and ceiling. Stability was gradually replacing uncertainty.

The next phase was clear: Esther was to secure a shop in the market and determine the nature of business she intended to run, along with the required capital. I was mandated to follow up on this process.
A few weeks later, she informed me that she had identified available shops at the Mpape Main Market. She explained that rental spaces inside the main market cost two million, five hundred thousand naira annually, while those on the roadside went for one million naira per year. I invited her for a briefing with her benefactor.

During the meeting, His Excellency asked:
Yahaya Bello: “How is the shop in the main market? Are they in good condition?”Esther: “Very well, Sir. The one I saw for two million five hundred thousand naira is new and located at the busiest part of the market.”Yahaya Bello: “Good. Is there any shop for sale in the market?”Esther: “Yes, Sir. But the amount is too much. They are asking for eighteen million naira.”
Without hesitation, he turned to me:
“CPS, you are a lawyer. Follow her to inspect the shop for sale. Ensure there is no encumbrance. Conduct your due diligence properly and buy it for her.”

At that moment, Esther and her husband were overwhelmed. What had begun as roadside compassion was unfolding into permanent transformation. The cascade of blessings felt surreal. They sat in stunned silence, struggling to process what grace was doing in real time.
The following day, I inspected the property as directed. After thorough verification and confirmation of clean title, all legal documents were prepared, certified, and executed. Payment was completed the next day, and ownership was legally transferred to Esther in her own name. Including legal and agency fees, a total of twenty-one million naira was expended to make Esther the owner of a brand-new shop at Mpape Main Market.

When I reported back that the shop had been secured, I mentioned that the next step would be stocking it so she could commence operations. His Excellency paused thoughtfully and said:
“Look, CPS, we are all human. It is difficult to find a woman who remains sincere to her husband despite family crisis the way Esther did. She could easily have said she was not married. I would have simply given her money to expand her business. But she chose honesty. She chose reconciliation. She believed her husband could become better. Because of that, I will assist her again.”
And he did.

News of Esther’s transformation spread widely to the extend that a delegation of eminent personalities under the umbrella of the FCT Stakeholders Assembly, led by Arc. (Dr.) Aliyu Zaka, paid a thank-you visit to His Excellency, describing the development as overwhelming and deeply inspiring.

About ten days ago, Esther informed me that she had painted the shop, installed cabinets, and completed the finishing touches. I relayed this update immediately. His Excellency asked that she be invited over.
The following day, Esther arrived with her husband. She presented a quotation outlining the goods she intended to sell. With visible emotion, she said that merely becoming the owner of such a shop was already a life-changing relief and that whatever additional support she received would be deeply appreciated.

Once again, grace spoke.
His Excellency sowed another financial seed running into millions of naira and instructed her to fully equip and stock the shop.
After successfully setting up her business, Esther insisted that His Excellency must be the first to patronize her store. On the appointed day, she arrived with samples of the items now proudly displayed in her shop which included a bag of rice, beans, oil, tomato paste, garri, yam, eggs, spaghetti, and other items and presented them to Yahaya Bello. She said this was her heart to His Excellency as a token of appreciation but His excellency did the unthinkable again by paying for the items in excess of their values.

The story of Esther is a symbolic transition from hawking sugarcane on the streets of Wuse to becoming the lawful owner of a multi-million-naira commercial property.
This is Esther’s journey: from roadside survival to permanent ownership through faith, compassion, and divine alignment.

And for Yahaya Bello; what a testament to consistent humanity. Through quiet acts of kindness, he has sponsored engineers, lawyers, pilots, and medical doctors within and outside the country quietly. He has uplifted banana sellers, groundnut vendors, farmers encountered even during convoy movements, old classmates, neighbors, and countless others whose names may never trend but whose lives have been permanently altered.

This is beyond charity. It reflects a doctrine of shared humanity; a belief that lifting others is not optional, but essential. Indeed, prosperity often arrives through shared grace and divine alignment. And it is this understanding that gives meaning to lifting others within the human ecosystem.
Grace found Esther on the roadside.
Faith restored her home.
Compassion secured her future.
And destiny; this time did not whisper. It spoke loudly.
