Let’s Find Hayley’s Body.

Francis John Wark was convicted of killing Hayley Dodd back in 1999, near Badgingarra, Western Australia. Her body has never been found. She was only 17 years old.

The bungled police investigation into her mysterious disappearance was flawed from the outset. They let him go. This decision would eventually result in the 2007 violent sexual attack of a 31-year-old woman in Queensland, committed by the same monster, after he relocated there.

The Western Australian Police Force is partly to blame for this.

Wark was later extradited to Perth to stand trial for Hayley’s murder in 2018 after a 2015 cold case investigation unearthed incriminating evidence that linked him directly to Hayley’s disappearance. He was ultimately found guilty of murder in the Supreme Court of Western Australia and was sentenced to life, with a 21-year non-parole period.

Hayley’s mother, Margaret Dodd, deserves to know where her daughter’s body is located. The community at large deserves to know, too.

In cases like this, capital punishment should be reinstated and carried out after forced disclosure of Hayley’s body is obtained. It’s the only right thing to do.

Convicted criminals like Wark should forfeit all human rights.
