A collection of more than 10,000 books in English in the heart of Geneva, Switzerland. Our doors are always open to the community.
We have been serving the English-speaking community in the Geneva region since 1930. Visitors are welcome to come in to browse our collection, read the newspaper or news magazines, research a student project, or plan a vacation using our travel guides. Only Library members may check out books on loan.

This Thursday 21 May from 16:00 to 20:00 we’re celebrating our new extended Thursday opening hours. We would be happy to explain more about the Library, meet new people, and share our passion for books. There will also be fun (and educational) activities for your children.

To celebrate our extended opening hours, come one and all on May 21st to discover The Library in English and meet our Librarian and volunteers.
Starting May 21st, we are extending our opening hours on Thursdays! From 21 May, you will be able to visit the Library in English from 12:30 to 20:00 each Thursday.
Fun activities for children will be provided at the launch event, so stop in after school or after work on Thursday, 21 May from 16:00.
