เมื่อวันที่ ๒ มิถุนายน ๒๕๖๙ คณะผู้แทนถาวรไทยประจำสหประชาชาติ ณ นครเจนีวา ได้จัดงานเฉลิม
พระเกียรติ เนื่องในโอกาสพระราชพิธีมหามงคลเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา ๔ รอบ สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าฯ
พระบรมราชินี ๓ มิถุนายน ๒๕๖๙ ณ ที่ทำการคณะผู้แทนถาวรไทยฯ โดยนางสาวอุศณา พีรานนท์ เอกอัครราชทูต ผู้แทนถาวรไทยประจำสหประชาชาติ ณ นครเจนีวา พร้อมด้วยนางพิมพ์ชนก พิตต์ฟีลด์ เอกอัครราชทูตผู้แทนถาวรไทยประจำองค์การการค้าโลกและองค์การทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาโลก ได้นำข้าราชการคณะผู้แทนถาวรไทยทั้งสองแห่งเข้าร่วมพิธีถวายเครื่องราชสักการะและวางพานพุ่ม พิธีจุดเทียน
และลงนามถวายพระพรชัยมงคล พิธีเจริญพระพุทธมนต์และถวายภัตตาหารเพลเพื่อถวายเป็นพระราชกุศล

On 2 June 2026, the Permanent Mission of Thailand to the United Nations Office in Geneva organised a ceremony to celebrate the Auspicious Occasion of Her Majesty the Queen’s 4th Cycle Birthday Anniversary on 3rd June 2026. The ceremony was presided over by H.E. Miss Usana Berananda, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations Office in Geneva and attended by Mrs. Pimchanok Pitfield, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the World Trade Organization and the World Intellectual Property Organization and officials of the two Missions.

Congratulations to Dr. Worawit Tontiwattanasap on being awarded the 2026 United Arab Emirates Health Foundation Prize at the World Health Assembly. This well-deserved recognition honors a lifetime of extraordinary service to equitable health care for rural, stateless, displaced, and cross-border communities in Tak province and along the Thailand–Myanmar border. Through his leadership at Umphang Hospital, advocacy for policy change, expansion of mobile and district health services, and commitment to training community health workers and midwives, Dr. Worawit has shown that borders need not limit compassion, and that humanity must guide our efforts to leave no one behind. His inspiring work brings the promise of health for all closer to reality and stands as a powerful example for Thailand and the global health community.

ไทยเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดงานเลี้ยงรับรองเพื่อรณรงค์หาเสียงการลงสมัครรับเลือกตั้งตำแหน่งสมาชิก ITU Council วาระปี ค.ศ. 2027-2030

เมื่อวันที่ 30 เมษายน 2569 นางสาวอุศณา พีรานนท์ เอกอัครราชทูต ผู้แทนถาวรไทยประจำสหประชาชาติ เข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงรับรองในระหว่างการประชุม International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Council 2026 ซึ่งจัดโดย สำนักงานคณะกรรมการกิจการกระจายเสียง กิจการโทรทัศน์ และกิจการโทรคมนาคมแห่งชาติ (กสทช.) เพื่อรณรงค์หาเสียงการลงสมัครรับเลือกตั้งตำแหน่งสมาชิกสภาบริหารสหภาพโทรคมนาคมระหว่างประเทศ (ITU Council) วาระปี ค.ศ. 2027-2030 ในโอกาสนี้ ศาสตราจารย์คลีนิค ดร. สรณ บุญใบชัยพฤกษ์ ประธาน กสทช. ได้กล่าวถึงความมุ่งมั่นของไทยในการส่งเสริมความเชื่อมโยงด้านโทรคมนาคมและดิจิทัลในระดับโลกและการเปลี่ยนผ่านทางดิจิทัล นอกจากนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้กล่าวย้ำในฐานะหุ้นส่วนความร่วมมือที่เชื่อถือได้ในการมีส่วนร่วมต่อภารกิจของ ITU และแสดงความพร้อมที่จะให้ความร่วมมือและสนับสนุนในการรับมือกับความท้าทายใหม่ ๆ ในด้านโทรคมนาคมและดิจิทัล ในโอกาสเดียวกันนี้ นาง Doreen Bogdan-Martin เลขาธิการ ITU ได้ร่วมกล่าวเปิดงานโดยชื่นชมบทบาทที่สร้างสรรค์ของไทยในฐานะหุ้นส่วนความร่วมมือของ ITU

On 30 April 2026, H.E. Ms. Usana Berananda, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva attended a coffee break reception during the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Council 2026 hosted by the National Broadcast and Telecommunication Commission of Thailand (NBTC) to promote Thailand’s candidature to the ITU Council for the term 2027-2030. On this occasion, Clinical Professor Dr. Sarana Boonbaichaiyapruck, Chairman of the NBTC emphasized Thailand’s commitment to promoting universal connectivity and digital transformation. As a trusted partner of the ITU, H.E. Ambassador Berananda expressed Thailand’s readiness to extend full cooperation and supports in addressing emerging challenges in the telecommunications and digital landscape. Secretary General Doreen Bogdan-Martin of the ITU, also delivered her remarks, highlighting Thailand’s constructive role and contribution as a partner in advancing digital cooperation within ITU framework.

เมื่อวันที่ 21 มกราคม 2569 นายสีหศักดิ์ พวงเกตุแก้ว รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้พบหารือกับนายอิกนาซิโอ กัสซิส รองประธานาธิบดีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศแห่งสมาพันธรัฐสวิส ในห้วงการประชุม World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2026 ณ เมืองดาวอส สมาพันธรัฐสวิส

ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือถึงแนวทางการส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างไทยกับสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ให้แน่นแฟ้นยิ่งขึ้น โดยเฉพาะด้านการค้าและการลงทุน และการเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือต่อจากการลงนามความตกลงการค้าเสรีไทย-สมาคมการค้าเสรียุโรป (Thailand–EFTA Free Trade Agreement) ตลอดจนการเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือในกรอบพหุภาคี โดยเฉพาะภายใต้ข้อตกลงดำเนินงานภายใต้ความตกลงปารีส (The Implementing Agreement to the Paris Agreement between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Swiss Confederation) และการเข้าเป็นสมาชิกองค์การเพื่อความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจและการพัฒนา (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development: OECD) ของไทย นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือและแลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นในประเด็นระดับภูมิภาคและระหว่างประเทศ โดยเน้นย้ำถึงความสำคัญของการยึดมั่นในการเคารพกติกาและกฎหมายระหว่างประเทศ

On 21 January 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with H.E. Mr. Ignazio Cassis, Vice President and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos, Switzerland.

Both sides discussed ways to further strengthen relations between Thailand and Switzerland, particularly in the areas of trade and investment, and enhancing cooperation following the signing of the Thailand-European Free Trade Association Free Trade Agreement (Thailand-EFTA FTA). They also exchanged views on enhancing multilateral cooperation, especially under the Implementing Agreement to the Paris Agreement between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Swiss Confederation and Thailand’s accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
