At Swiss Post, some people deliver parcels. Raphaël makes sure cybercriminals don’t deliver any nasty surprises. 📦🔒

October, Cybersecurity Awareness Month, shines a light on the people who protect our digital services.

At the Security Operations Centre (SOC), Raphaël analyses suspicious activity and investigates incidents. “Most people use our services as intended. Others try to misuse how they work.” He seeks to understand suspicious activity, identify threats and help protect systems and data.

In his spare time, he practices ethical hacking: testing systems within an authorized framework to spot vulnerabilities before they can be exploited. He also takes part in Capture the Flag (CTF) competitions, challenges that combine logic, creativity and perseverance. 🚩

Originally from Fontainemelon, the 32 years old started out as a developer, then became a Security Champion before joining the SOC two years ago.

He enjoys board games, has played Magic for fifteen years and collects Pokémon cards and trainers. On top of that come football, floorball, futsal and his commitment as a firefighter in Val-de-Ruz.
