When your child doesn’t want to share, it doesn’t mean they’re being unkind or selfish. Learning to share takes time, and it’s completely normal for children to feel attached to something they’re enjoying.
Instead of forcing them to give it up immediately, let them finish their turn first. You can gently explain that when they’re done, it will be someone else’s turn.
Sharing is something children learn step by step – with time, patience and positive guidance.
