Biodigesters powering pineapples! ⚡🍍

Through the PHAMA Plus program, families like Paara Maoate’s are creating new opportunities.

Paara has been able to transform organic waste into clean cooking gas and organic fertiliser using a biodigester. Thanks to his hard work, his family has improved the productivity of their agri-business and increased value-adding for potential export readiness.

Many stories like Paara’s were shared during the PHAMA Plus showcase at the Ministry of Agriculture Cook Islands today. We heard how biodigesters, hydroponics and other innovations have supported productivity in agriculture and agri-business across Rarotonga and the Pa Enua.

Australia 🇦🇺 is proud to celebrate and support these innovations through PHAMA Plus, in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture Cook Islands and New Zealand.
