Segment 3: This week, we shine the spotlight on community legends General George George, Turori Matutu, and Moana Manuela, who are leading important conversations and helping create safe spaces for men to open up, connect, and speak honestly about the challenges they face. From mental health and wellbeing to family, pressure, identity, and everyday life, these brothers are reminding our communities that strength is not about staying silent — it’s about showing up for each other.

Real kōrero. Real support. Real change.

Bro Check 101

Guest Speakers:

Wallace Aroita
Travel Purua

Episode Description

In Episode 2 of Bro Check 101, we sit down with Wallace Aroita, Travel Purua for an open and honest conversation about brotherhood, mental wellbeing, and the challenges men often keep to themselves.

This episode creates a safe space for men to speak freely, encourage one another, and discuss the realities many brothers face but struggle to talk about — from pressure, pride, relationships, identity, mental health, and the importance of checking in on each other.

Too often men are expected to stay silent, “tough it out,” or carry burdens alone. Bro Check 101 is about breaking that cycle through real conversations, support, and connection.

A powerful discussion focused on vulnerability, strength, accountability, and reminding our brothers that they don’t have to walk alone.
