The Calasanz Movement is the communion of Piarist demarcational groups in the world united in the same educational spiirit of Saint Joseph Calasanz.
The Calasanz Movement is the communion of groups of different demarcations throughout the geographical world, that are united in the same educational and evangelical proposal, inspired by the spirit and style of Calasanz. This movement wants to reinforce the existing realities, putting them in connection to each other, in order to enrich themselves mutually, to gain in the piarist identity and to
offer pastoral horizon to those in need of it at this moment. The Calasanz Movement supposes a continuous path of different experiences and for all ages that aims at enabling a personal process, lived in group, discovering and the nurturing of faith and vocation, as well as a clear ecclesial insertion. This process includes specifically the Piarist offer of an outlet in the Pious Schools in its various forms, especially in religious life and the Piarist Fraternity. KEY ELEMENTS OF THE WAY
The evangelizing actions cannot be isolated actions, but a process where vocational life Project is concretised and shared in the community. The charisma of Saint Joseph Calasanz and of the Piarists orientates the pillars of the educational process of the entire movement. The fundamental elements, always present in the most convenient way at all stages, interrelated with the perspective of the following of Jesus in the style of Calasanz, are:
• The personal encounter with the Lord in prayer, the sacraments, the Word of God, the Christian and faithful reading of reality, close solidarity with the poor, community, ecclesial and piarist history, and personal commitment.
• A lifestyle from the keys of the Gospel, in the following of Jesus, always looking for the vocation to which God calls us, and adapting our lives to his proposal in an attitude of permanent conversion.
• The Human, Christian and Piarist formations that allow us to be able to give reason to our hope and embody the Piarist and Christian values once we’ll grow as persons.
• Service to others and commitment to the construction of the Kingdom of God, especially with those who are most in need, from the intuitions of Calasanz
