CONSULATE GENERAL OF NIGERIA, DOUALA-CAMEROON COMMEMORATES NIGERIA’S 62ND INDEPENDENCE DAY
Various personalities, including the Governor of Littoral Region, represented by Mr Bili Pierre Stephane, Chief of Cabinet, the representative of the Head of the Protocol and Consular Branch Office of MINREX, Douala and staff of the Branch Office were present at the colourful event hosted by the Consul-General of Littoral and West Regions of the Republic of Cameroon, Hon (HRM) Queen Efe A. Clark-Omeru. Also in attendance were Members of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps, Captains/Representatives of Companies and Industries, as well as the Nigerian Community in Littoral and West Regions of Cameroon.

NIGERIAN WOMEN IN DOUALA, REPUBLIC OF CAMEROON CELEBRATE THE 37TH EDITION OF THE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY
The 37th Edition of the International Women’s Day, under the theme: Equality between Women and Men Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow” was celebrated by women across all spheres in Douala. The Nigerian Women in Douala were not left out of this wonderful event that recognises women’s achievements across the world and also serves as a platform to raise awareness against gender violence and inequality.
The regional delegation of the Ministry of Women Empowerment and Family for Littoral, Republic of Cameroon organised various activities to mark this year’s celebration, among which is the Gastronomy Day on Friday 4th March 2022, where Nigerian Women showcased the rich traditional dishes of our great country. They also participated in the big parade of 8 March 2022, dressed in the beautiful Women’s Day attire. They were finally hosted to a reception by the Consulate-General of Nigeria, Douala, Republic of Cameroon.
