The introduction of street lights in the whole municipality has illuminated our roads, making our community safer and more vibrant. The provision of clean water has transformed the lives of countless families who used to travel long distances to fitch for water, ensuring access to this essential resource. The construction of schools and bridges has expanded opportunities and connected our community like never before and our children can study in modern classrooms.

Your generous donations to internally displaced people from the North West and South West Region of Cameroon have demonstrated unparalleled compassion and solidarity, providing much-needed support to the most vulnerable in our society. 100 premiers jours de M. Kunde Janvier en tant que maire de la municipalité de Mombo.

Il convient de rappeler que M. Kunde Janvier a été déclaré vainqueur des élections municipales de 2020 dans la municipalité de Mombo.

Avec à peine 100 jours de mandat de cinq ans, le maire Kunde fait déjà beaucoup parler de lui comme s'il était maire depuis dix ans.

Même ses détracteurs croient qu'il laisserait ses empreintes de pas sur le sable des réalisations du Conseil de Mombo.

Outre l'ingéniosité, un trait de caractère que très peu de gens possèdent, le maire Kunde est l'un de ces rares maires dotés d'un sens de l'innovation. Il est déterminé à transformer la municipalité de Mombo en la municipalité la plus propre et la plus développée et est déterminé à transformer le Conseil de Mombo, en en faisant un meilleur endroit qu'il ne l'a rencontré.

En tant que maire visionnaire, réformateur et moderne qu'il est, le maire Kunde s'est donné pour priorité de collaborer et d'écouter tous les conseillers et le personnel du conseil indépendamment de leur position dans la société ou des postes qu'ils occupent dans le Conseil.

Le grand avantage de son esprit de collaboration est qu'il veillera à ce que le personnel de la municipalité de Mombo et les conseillers travaillent en équipe, en ciblant des objectifs communs au bénéfice de la population.

«Cette pandémie a changé les plans de tous nos citoyens ainsi que de notre municipalité. Le maire se réveille quotidiennement, préoccupé par l'impact de COVID-19 sur tous les aspects de notre communauté. La première priorité est maintenant de trouver des moyens pour que la communauté peut atténuer les difficultés que les citoyens vivent quotidiennement en raison de cette crise sanitaire mondiale historique.

En tant que candidat à la mairie, j'ai mis l'accent sur le travail sur nos dossiers financiers, la gestion fondamentale et le travail avec des budgets réalistes. Améliorant la réponse aux besoins de la grande communauté, je créerai le conseil consultatif COVID-19 du maire. Ce conseil des principales parties prenantes identifiera l'impact, les besoins et la voie à suivre pour la municipalité de Mombo.

Le conseil d'administration déterminera la meilleure façon pour la municipalité de répondre et d'aider alors que nous naviguons dans COVID à court et à long terme. Leurs conseils nous aideront à nous guider, à aider le conseil à apporter les changements nécessaires, et à aider cette administration à trouver les ressources supplémentaires pour faire le travail.

Nous allions créer un comité consultatif pour travailler au renforcement de notre communauté et de notre économie avant même que la pandémie ne nous frappe; cette crise l'a propulsé au premier plan. Le public sera invité à participer à de larges discussions sur la manière d'étendre nos activités commerciales, manufacturières et locales. Encore une fois, il n'y a pas qu'une seule façon de faire quelque chose. Ce qui compte en fin de compte, c'est d'être efficace et de renforcer la résilience.

Pendant cette crise sanitaire, nous sommes en contact quotidien avec les autorités locales et les autorités sanitaires de l'État pour nous assurer que la municipalité de Mombo est aussi préparée que possible. Je parle et surveille ce que font les autres maires et municipalités. Si nous voyons quelque chose qui fonctionne ailleurs, nous l'évaluerons pour voir s'il est applicable à Mombo.

Parce que nous avons mis en œuvre des politiques et des procédures opportunes pour assurer la sécurité et la santé de nos employés et résidents, nous sommes en meilleure position pour redémarrer notre économie plus vigoureusement. Nous suivons les conseils de professionnels formés et compétents en matière de santé et de sécurité publiques. Garder notre population en bonne santé maintenant sera la clé pour retrouver plus t**d notre force économique. Je crois fermement que c'est ainsi que nous sortons de cette crise avec les meilleurs résultats pour notre municipalité.

La réponse de notre communauté a été incroyable. Je tiens à remercier toutes les personnes et organisations qui se sont mobilisées pendant cette période pour offrir leur soutien et leurs ressources. Un merci spécial à toutes les organisations non gouvernementales, récemment, HOFNA Cameroun, CCREAD Cameroun etc.

Ces organisations nous ont aidés à mettre un large sourire sur les visages des PDI. Notre municipalité abrite plus de 1000 PDI, leurs défis sont nombreux, allant du manque de documents d'identité, des équipements de base, etc.

Ces efforts collectifs ont été tout simplement héroïques et témoignent de la véritable détermination du conseil de Mombo. Sans aucun doute, COVID a changé le travail initial de notre administration. Néanmoins, notre engagement envers les contribuables et les citoyens de Mombo reste le même. Je demande à tout le monde de rester calme en ces temps difficiles. Suivez les directives définies par les experts de l'état et de la sécurité. Ensemble, nous passerons.

First 100 days of Mr Kunde Janvier as Mayor of Mombo Municipality.

It should be recalled that Mr Kunde Janvier was declared winner of the 2020 municipal election in Mombo Municipality.

With barely 100 days in office of the five-year term , Mayor Kunde is already being very much talked-about as if he has been mayor for the past ten years.

Even his detractors believe he would leave his foot prints on the sands of achievements at the Mombo Council.

Besides ingenuity, a character trait which very few people possess, Mayor Kunde is one of those rare Mayors with a sense of innovation. He is bent on turning Mombo municipality to the cleanest and most developed municipality and is determined to transform Mombo Council, making it a better place than he met it.

Being the visionary, reform-minded and modern day mayor that he is, Mayor Kunde has made it a top priority to collaborate and give a listening ear to all the Councillors and the council Staff irrespective of their position in society or posts they hold in the Council.

The big advantage in his collaborative spirit is that the he shall ensure that, the staff of Mombo municipality and Councillors should work as a team, targeting common objectives for the benefit of the people.

Apart from this impressive achievement, Mayor Kunde has also demystified the title “Lord Mayor”. Unlike what obtains in other council areas, he receives people of all walks of life right in the inner sanctum of his office.

This laudable down-to-earth approach has given him the possibility of sounding public opinion on major policy issues of public interest as well as getting proposals on how to move Mombo municipality forward. He is commonly called "the people's Mayor".

He is working hard not only to better the working conditions of the council staff but is also striving to raise the quality of life of the people of his municipality.

Even though an SDF Mayor, Mayor kunde development efforts in Mombo do not have any political calculations nor are intended to push him further up the political ladder. He is sacrificing his life for the well being of the people of Mombo Municipality and humankind.

His first 100 days have been a roller coaster. His administration was off to a good start -accomplishing some of their initial goals of getting the team in place,putting their financial records in order, and working to formulate a long-range strategic plan for the municipality.

These accomplishments would be important under normal circumstances, but are more crucial now as they work their way through the new reality of today.

"This pandemic has changed plans for all of our citizens as well as our municipality. The mayor wake up daily, concerned about the impact COVID-19 is having on every aspect of our community. The first priority now is to find ways that the community can mitigate the hardships everyday citizens are experiencing because of this historic worldwide health crisis.

As a mayoral candidate, i emphasized working on our financial records, fundamental management, and working with realistic budgets. Improving the response to the needs of the greater community, I will create the Mayor’s COVID-19 Advisory Board. This board of key stakeholders will identify the impact, needs, and a path forward for Mombo Municipality.

The board will determine how the municipality can best respond and assist as we navigate COVID both in the short-term and long-term. Their advice will help guide us, help the council make the necessary changes it may need to make, and help this administration find the extra resources to do the work.

We were going to develop an advisory board to work on strengthening our community and economy even before the pandemic hit us; this crisis has pushed that to the forefront. The public will be invited to participate in broad discussions about how to expand our mercantile, manufacturing and local businesses,. Again, there is no one way to do something. What ultimately matters is being effective and building resilience.

During this health crisis, we are in daily contact with local officials and state health officials to ensure Mombo municipality is as prepared as we can be. I speak with and monitor what other mayors and municipalities are doing. If we see something that works somewhere else, we will evaluate it to see if it is applicable for Mombo.

Because we implemented timely policies and procedures to keep our employees and residents safe and healthy, we are in a stronger position to have a more vigorous restart of our economy. We are following the guidance of trained and competent professionals in public health and safety. Keeping our population healthy now will be the key to regaining our economic strength later. I firmly believe that this is how we emerge out of this crisis with the best outcome for our municipality.

The response from our community has been incredible. I want to thank every person and organization who has stepped up during this time to offer their support and resources. Special thanks to all the Non Governmental organization, recently, HOFNA Cameroon, CCREAD Cameroon etc..

These organizations have help us put a broad smile on the faces of the IDPs .Our municipality is host to over 1000 IDPs ,their challenges are many, ranging from lack of identification documents ,basic amenities etc.

These collective efforts have been nothing short of heroic and show the true resolve of Mombo council. Without a doubt, COVID has changed the initial work of our administration. Nevertheless, our commitment to the taxpayers and citizens of Mombo remains the same. I ask that everyone remain calm during these challenging times. Follow the guidelines outlined by the state and safety experts. Together, we will get through.

These organizations have help us put a broad smile on the faces of the IDPs .Our municipality is host to over 1000 IDPs ,their challenges are many, ranging from lack of identification documents ,basic amenities etc.

These collective efforts have been nothing short of heroic and show the true resolve of Mombo council. Without a doubt, COVID has changed the initial work of our administration. Nevertheless, our commitment to the taxpayers and citizens of Mombo remains the same. I ask that everyone remain calm during these challenging times. Follow the guidelines outlined by the state and safety experts. Together, we will get through.
