This was during a glorious mass-marriage ceremony that was conducted by Limbe City Mayor Dr. Paul EFOME L. M. NGALE. The LCC Strong man congratulated the couples for the bold step and encourages them to convince others to rush to the council and also enjoy legality in their relationship.
The happy celebration which is meant to put an end to free unions better known as "Come We Stay" is a long existing initiative jointly powered by the Limbe City Council and the Fako Divisional Délégation for Women Empowerment and the Family headed by Mme Carrine Takere. The free mass marriage ceremony is an outcome of the yearly celebration of the International Day of the Family whose 2026 theme centered around : "Families, Inequalities and Child wellbeing."

There were cases of couples who had been together till old age without been legally married, others for financial reasons were still in free unions, where as others just saw it as a suitable opportunity to say "YES" to the love of their life. No matter the case, all started and ended well in this ceremony which knew positive counselling and religious empowerment from Madam EWANG MIRABELLE EYIANG Sub-Delegate for Women's Empowerment and the Family (MINPFOFF) Limbe I and from Rev. GENTY NDELEY.
The LCC through it's Civil Status Bureau headed by Mrs. Neris EKEMA shall continue its missions to unify more couples to form legal unions and empower families which are the base for a stronger Cameroon.

THE LCC-POPULATION BOND DRIVING THE REHABILITATION OF EARTH ROADS WITHIN THE LIMBE MUNICIPALITY

The winning partnership that exists between the Limbe City Council and the population of the municipality is scoring goals. In the vision of "Building together" preached by Limbe City Mayor Dr. Paul EFOME L. M. NGALE, the population of the various communities have joined the city council so as to realise the rehabilitation and extension of earth roads within their communities.
It is the case recently with Dikolo and Southern Motowoh where the population were in one accord with the City Council to see how to address the revampung of their earth roads. Despite the strong will of the Limbe City Council to tackle social needs of the population, it can't always do it alone. The population aware of this reality have not seized to step up their support for the mobilisation of heavy engineering equipments to develop the municipality. Looking at the impact of this approach, the population have lauded the City Mayor for given them the chance to accelerate development in their communities.
The positive bond has already revamped many community spaces and roads, and more is still to come.
