The fuel could have supplied Cuba as it faces constant blackouts that impact hospitals, water reliability, and food preservation.

As Cuban Americans, we strongly condemn the tightening of the oil blockade and the resultant collective punishment of the Cuban people.

Last week, our delegation brought Cuban American voices directly to Congress to meet with representatives and push for legislation to end the economic blockade on Cuba.

Inside congressional offices, our members made the case for diplomacy, sanctions relief, and an end to the collective punishment of the Cuban people.

They rallied for war. We lobbied for peace.

While a loud minority of Cuban Americans gathered in DC calling on Trump to invade Cuba, our grassroots organization went to Capitol Hill to demand an end to the collective punishment of the Cuban people.

Our members met with the Congressional Progressive Caucus and with their own representatives to push for an end to economic warfare on Cuba and to support legislation that would prevent a full-on war.

The warmongers don't speak for us. Cuban Americans want engagement, not bloodshed.

Sofia, a Cuban American, was arrested for protesting Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent. Bessent is one of the figures responsible for enforcing the sanctions against Cuba 🇨🇺

As Cubans suffer blackouts and shortages, largely due to the U.S. blockade on Cuba, Cuban Americans are uniting against the cruelty of U.S. policy: 

“Nothing can justify the collective punishment of the Cuban people.”
