For these two days, we'll be immersing ourselves in the natural splendor and mythical charm of the Aphrodite and Adonis Trails, staying overnight at the serene Aphrodite Campsite.

🏕️ Aphrodite Campsite: Your Home in Nature

Nestled within the heart of the Akamas Peninsula, our campsite offers the perfect blend of comfort and wilderness. With the stars above and the gentle sounds of nature around, this is where we'll rest, recharge, and prepare for the trails that await. This is more than just a place to sleep; it’s an opportunity to connect with the landscape that inspired so many legends.

🌸 Day 9: Explore the Aphrodite Trail

Our journey begins with the Aphrodite Trail, a path that winds through lush greenery, offering breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea. This 7.5 km loop trail is steeped in myth and beauty, leading us past the Baths of Aphrodite, where the goddess is said to have bathed. As we walk, we’ll be surrounded by the flora and fauna that make this area so unique—wild orchids, endemic plants, and perhaps even a glimpse of the elusive mouflon.

The trail will take us up to Moutti tis Sotiras, the highest point, where panoramic views of the peninsula will leave you in awe. The descent will lead us back along the coast, with the sea breeze refreshing us as we complete the loop.

💚 Day 10: Walk the Adonis Trail

On Day 10, we’ll tackle the Adonis Trail, which complements the Aphrodite Trail by offering a different perspective of the peninsula. This 7.5 km route is slightly more challenging, with a climb that rewards us with stunning views of the Chrysochou Bay and the Polis coastline. Along the way, we’ll pass through ancient ruins, picturesque valleys, and pine forests, each step bringing us closer to understanding why Adonis chose this land to hunt.

Both trails are not just walks through nature; they are journeys through history and myth, offering stories at every turn, from the love of Aphrodite and Adonis to the ancient civilizations that once thrived here.

Ready for another adventure? Today’s 12 km loop walk takes you from Kathikas through the beautiful villages of Pano Akourdaleia, Kato Akourdaleia, Miliou, and Theleletra, before returning to Kathikas.
