Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a growing health crisis. In Europe alone, over 100 million people live with the disease and by 2040 it is expected to become the 5th leading cause of death worldwide.

In Cyprus, the reality is even more alarming. In 2022, Cyprus recorded the highest adjusted incidence rate of new kidney failure cases in Europe, with 376 new cases per 1 million population compared to the European average of 158.

The Cyprus Nephrology Society reported a staggering 115% increase in patients undergoing hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. For these patients, dialysis is not just a treatment but a lifelong routine. They spend around 4 hours, 3 times a week, connected to a dialysis machine, planning their daily schedule around treatments which, although challenging, give them the strength and energy needed to care for their loved ones, work, socialise and enjoy meaningful moments.

The Association of Friends of Kidney Diseases, through its voluntary work, stands beside these patients and their families by offering essential support, financial assistance, and public awareness initiatives. Supporting their mission is not a decision we reconsider but is a commitment we proudly renew every year through our annual donation of €1,000.

Ευαισθητοποίηση για την Κυβερνοασφάλεια.

Η χθεσινή εκπαίδευση ευαισθητοποίησης για την κυβερνοασφάλεια επεσήμανε ότι η κυβερνοασφάλεια είναι ευθύνη όλων των εργαζομένων — όχι μόνο του Τμήματος Πληροφορικής.

Σημεία κλειδιά:

✅ Τι κάνουμε (DOs)
· Χρησιμοποιούμε ισχυρούς, μοναδικούς κωδικούς και ενεργοποιούμε το 2FA
· Χρησιμοποιούμε εγκεκριμένα προγράμματα
· Ενεργοποιούμε το antivirus
· Κλειδώνουμε τον υπολογιστή μας όταν δεν τον χρησιμοποιούμε
· Επιβεβαιώνουμε ευαίσθητα αιτήματα μέσω αξιόπιστου καναλιού
· Επισκεπτόμαστε ασφαλείς ιστοσελίδες HTTPS με λουκετάκι
· Ακολουθούμε τον κανόνα ΣΤΑΜΑΤΑ-ΣΚΕΨΟΥ-ΕΛΕΓΞΕ

❌ Τι δεν κάνουμε (DON’Ts)
· Δεν ανοίγουμε ύποπτους συνδέσμους και άγνωστα αρχεία
· Δεν χρησιμοποιούμε τους ίδιους κωδικούς και αυτούς που μαντεύονται εύκολα
· Δεν μοιραζόμαστε κωδικούς με άλλα άτομα
· Δεν κοινοποιούμε ευαίσθητες πληροφορίες μέσω email και sms
· Δεν ενεργούμε βιαστικά και χωρίς επαλήθευση
· Δεν θεωρούμε ότι δεν είμαστε στόχοι — όλοι είμαστε

Οι κυβερνοαπειλές εξελίσσονται ραγδαία, από phishing έως απάτες με τη χρήση AI, και η ενημέρωση είναι η πρώτη γραμμή άμυνας.

We are proud to have been represented by our IT Manager, Lefteris Krasias, at the 2026 European Cybersecurity Certification Conference in Ayia Napa.

The conference offered valuable insight into the evolution of EU cybersecurity certification frameworks, including CSA2 and ECCF, and their growing role in strengthening trust and compliance.

Discussions highlighted the need to scale certification capacity and tackle accreditation challenges as demand for certified solutions grows. Emerging topics, such as the European Digital Identity Wallet and certification for Managed Security Services, are shaping the next phase of Europe’s cyber resilience strategy.

A great opportunity to connect with policymakers, industry leaders, and experts driving the future of Europe’s cyber resilience.

📢 On March 11 and 18, our company successfully organized two Health & Safety training sessions with the participation of all employees.​

👨‍🏫 The training was delivered by Mr. Marios Charalambous, a Health & Safety specialist with many years of experience in the field.​

⚠️ Ensuring a safe and healthy working environment is a key priority for our organization. Through regular training and awareness initiatives, we aim to equip our team with the knowledge and skills required to identify potential hazards, prevent accidents and injuries, and enhance emergency preparedness.​

📚 These sessions form part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening our Health & Safety culture, ensuring that safety standards and best practices are consistently applied across all operations.​
