Today, on the sidelines of the Competitiveness Council meeting in Brussels, Deputy Minister Nicodemos Damianou and Juan Cruz Cigudosa García, Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Universities of Spain, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between and on Scientific, Technological and Innovation Cooperation.

▶️ This development marks a significant step towards strengthening bilateral collaboration, as well as links between research institutions, scientists and innovation ecosystems in both countries.

▶️ The MoU will support joint research activities, researcher mobility, knowledge exchange and participation in European and Mediterranean initiatives, including PRIMA.

▶️ Through this partnership, Cyprus and Spain aim to enhance innovation capacity, competitiveness and sustainable development, contributing to a stronger and more resilient European Research Area.
