📢GREAT NEWS!

We proudly share the volunteer guide created through the Youth Humanitarian Action project in Spring 2023. The handbook covers important topics related to volunteerism, such as the recruitment and engagement of volunteers and many more. Furthermore, it offers a guideline for collectives, groups, schools, and facilities that work with volunteers.

Thank you to everyone who supported us at the Donation Collection Day at the University of Nicosia on the 6th of December.

During the event, volunteers of the Youth Humanitarian Action project had the opportunity to inform attendees about the objectives and activities of the project.

The YHA project aims to:
- Provide material support to vulnerable groups in the community
- Engage young people in the community in volunteerism and become active in the society
- Reduce waste that harms the environment and promote sustainability by redistributing items (food close to the expiration date, second-hand clothes, kitchen utensils, and bedding)
- Engage young people and raise their awareness of societal and humanitarian challenges (i.e., forced migration)

Thank you to UNIC Volunteer Club, Coffeology101, and Unic PSI CHI Honor Society Chapter for hosting us, and Generation for Change CY for the collaboration.

On Monday, 17 October 2022, in collaboration with the Generation For Change CY and the Women of Cyprus, we organised a Movie and Discussion night exploring the current uprising and movement in Iran.🇮🇷
The event was very constructive as more than 40 people joined us to watch the award-winning adult animated biographical drama by Marjane Satrapi, 📽Persepolis (2007) and participated in the discussion that followed. 🙋‍♀️🙋🏾🙋🏾‍♂️
We would like to thank our panellists Seagull Shahbazi (Activist and Founder of The Women of Cyprus) and Sholeh Zahraei (Co-Writer and Co-Director of Cyprus' first and only fiction about homophobia: "The Hunt") and our Secretary Darya Alikhani for moderating the discussion.
