Flanders Investment & Trade / Belgian Embassy – Prague

Would you like to gain hands-on experience in international trade while still studying? Join the small and dynamic team of Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) in Prague and work on real projects connecting the Czech Republic and Flanders.
FIT is a government agency of the Flemish region of Belgium. We support Flemish companies entering the Czech market and help Czech companies expand to Belgium.
What you’ll do:
• Work closely with the Head of Office on a daily basis
• Handle office administration and day-to-day operations
• Communicate with Czech and international companies
• Conduct company research and market analysis
• Assist with organizing trade missions and events
• Work with databases (data entry and validation)
• Manage emails and phone communication
Who we’re looking for:
• A student in the final stage of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or a recent graduate (ideally in business / international relations)
• Native-level Czech and good command of English, both spoken and written (Dutch is a plus)
• Someone organized and reliable who can manage multiple tasks and stay flexible
• Comfortable communicating by phone and working with people
• Independent but also a team player (we are a small team of two)
• Basic user knowledge of MS Office (Teams, Excel, etc.)

• Fixed-term part-time contract under a DPČ agreement, from June 1, 2026 to May 31, 2027

On Europe Day, representatives from EU embassies in Prague reaffirmed our commitment to the European project. It was great to have colleagues from Ukraine and Moldova with us as well.

Our Prime Minister Bart De Wever was in Prague for a working visit, where he met President Petr Pavel and Prime Minister Andrej Babiš. Open and productive talks – and another great reminder of the strong ties between our two countries.

Europe Day held on 9 May every year celebrates peace and unity in Europe. The date marks the anniversary of the historic 'Schuman declaration' that set out his idea for a new form of political cooperation in Europe, which would make war between Europe's nations unthinkable

Every year, family members of the Belgian volunteers of the 17th Fusilier Battalion, who liberated Pilsen in May 1945, travel to the Czech Republic to honour their legacy. These are intense days of remembrance and respect. Lest we forget.

West Bohemia was liberated by the American Army in May 1945. The capital, Pilsen, was taken by Belgian volunteers. This is commemorated every year with a beautiful ceremony at the “Thank You, America” Memorial, where the Belgian flag is always proudly flown.
