Ambassador Gibbons travelled to Masaryk University in Brno to continue the conversation on the evolving role of diplomacy and Ireland and the Czech Republic in the European Union.

Engaging directly with university students across the Czech Republic and hearing their perspectives on European affairs is a vital part of our work. We want to know how the next generation views the challenges ahead.

Velvyslanec Gibbons tentokrát zavítal na brněnskou Masarykovu univerzitu, aby se studenty pokračoval v diskuzi o vyvíjející se roli diplomacie, Irska a České republiky v Evropské unii.

Ambassador Gibbons recently had the pleasure of visiting Technická univerzita v Liberci to meet with students for a highly engaging event focused on the upcoming Irish Presidency of the EU and diplomacy.

Engaging with young people and hearing their perspectives on these crucial topics is incredibly important to us.

We were delighted to be joined by Hana Mottlová, Director of the EU Policies Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic for these great discussions.

Pan velvyslanec Gibbons nedávno navštívil Technickou univerzitu v Liberci, kde se setkal se studenty, aby s nimi debatoval o nadcházejícím irském předsednictví EU a diplomacii.

☘️ The GAA spirit is alive and well in the Czech Republic! This weekend, Píobairí Strakonice hosted Prague Hibernians Gaelic Football for a match. A wonderful reminder of the strong ties between Ireland and the Czech Republic — and of the Irish community bringing their passion for Gaelic games wherever they go! 🏑

☘️ Duch GAA žije i v Čechách! Tento víkend přivítali Píobairí Strakonice tým Prague Hibernians na zápase ve Strakonicích. Krásná připomínka silného pouta mezi Irskem a Českou republikou — a toho, jak si irská komunita nese lásku ke gaelským hrám kamkoli na světě! 🏑

🇨🇿 🇮🇪Dnes, 13. dubna, si připomínáme výročí narození dvou ikon irské literatury: Samuela Becketta a Seamuse Heaneyho.

Tito dva nositelé Nobelovy ceny za literaturu se narodili v tento den s odstupem 33 let.
