USAG Stuttgart has approximately 23,000 community members. To put our population in perspective, the National League of Cities data shows that over 90% of municipal governments in the U.S. Like large municipalities, we are service providers. However, USAG Stuttgart is responsible for providing services that civilian municipalities are not chartered to provide such as the sustainment, restoration, and modernization of all facilities within our installation borders. Unlike most municipalities, USAG Stuttgart also funds all utilities services within our footprint. Along with these Base Operations Support services, we also provide over 240 services to community members on a daily basis. These services range from Family and Youth programs, to Fitness centers, to housing and vehicle services, to ensuring our community's safety and shelter. We care about the safety and well-being of our community members. Your safety and protection is our number one priority. We are also proud to say that we are located in one of the safest cities in Germany, which has world-class services, recreation, as well as an extensive public transportation system. We seek and maintain excellent working relationships with all Host Nation municipalities surrounding our installations. All of these items help enhance the wellness of our community members. Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Mission: IMCOM delivers quality base support from the Strategic Support Area enabling readiness for a globally responsive Army. IMCOM Vision: Every installation delivers superior base support, enabling readiness and the highest quality of life for our Soldiers, Families, and Civilians. IMCOM Principles: Service, Excellence, Respect, Vision, Integrity, Communication, Empowerment

Local law enforcement has issued a disguise ban during this event, meaning masks or items that conceal your identity are not allowed in Stuttgart.

Personnel in the USAG Stuttgart Community are encouraged to avoid Schlossplatz on Halloween and wear their awesome costumes on post instead.

DOWEA - Stuttgart Elementary School and DOWEA - Patch Elementary School students took part in the annual pumpkin drop experiment this morning.

As part of a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) lesson sponsored by their respective parent-teacher associations, students designed cushioned cardboard boxes meant to protect their pumpkins from a fall. Teachers, staff, and even USAG Stuttgart Command Sgt. Maj. Chris Melendez threw more than 100 potentially protected pumpkins from the roofs of the two schools.

The results? Some were a smashing success, and some were just smashed, but everyone had a smashing time!

🚧 Plan ahead this Halloween to avoid getting stuck in traffic! The A81 will be closed in both directions between Sindelfingen-Ost and Böblingen-Hulb from Friday, Oct. 30, at 10 p.m., until Monday, Nov. 2, at 5 a.m. Wolfgang-Brumme-Allee will also be closed in both directions during this time.

❗️Detours:
Toward Singen: Follow U6
Toward Stuttgart: Follow U11 and U13.

Expect delays, especially when traveling between Panzer Kaserne and Kelley, Patch, and Robinson Barracks. Allow extra travel time, follow posted detour signs, and plan for Halloween activities on the installations this weekend.

The closure is necessary to remove a temporary bridge and dismantle support structures for the new bridge.
