This Sunday (April 14) we are moving No.03 episode of our ongoing Neukölln sound series. #NeuköllnSoundseries is an attempt to get to know and investigate what kind of music my neighbor might listen to. It's inviting you to be part of this act of collective listening and celebrating the diversity of music acts in the district. @paulah.dj is a Madrid born Berlin based music researcher and cultural promoter, her focus is to understand the entanglements between the global south music production universe and the mainstream popular music, with special focus on the Caribbean and African music. As cultural promoter her record label nofutureberlin is a space for recognition for encounter and sharing to the Wildest and awake underground electronic music producers from the global south. She is also part of Calentura Collective and Alberlin Crew. Central cultural agitators of the Berlin music scene compromised on the promotion of fresher music rhythms within the global music circuit to the Berlin crowd.. For this 3 hours radio invitation Paulah will dive and invite us to swim with her through her music library to listen to cozy music soundscapes that surrounded her in the last years. On 20.01.2024 there will be a workshop on how to develop a Calliope by Hugo who is a Berlin-based electronic engineer and "Calliope" developer. Open Window Series Workshop 3! Beatproduction with Felix Kusser December 16-17, 16.00-18.00 At OneLove Foundation, Elsenstraße 75 Berlin based sound designer, music producer and performance artist Felix Kusser offers an Ableton workshop for beginners to intermediates. He will guide participants how to navigate in the most user friendly digital audio workstation (DAW) for music production, working "inside the box" with Ableton's inbuilt instruments and effects. He will guide participants to integrate external instruments into the software, recording techniques and finding a workflow. Sign up for the workshop at [email protected] by December 15!
