What’s the secret ingredient to a strong UK–Germany relationship? 🇬🇧🇩🇪

We may not have the definitive answer, but last night we came very close. 🧀

A group of young German professionals joined us at the Ambassador’s Residence for the British Embassy’s first ever cooking class.

Beyond mastering a British classic - the cheddar soufflé - the evening showed how cultural exchange can spark conversations, build understanding, and strengthen the connections that bring our two countries closer together.

The Brandenburg Gate has witnessed many historic moments. Yesterday, with thousands gathered, it became the backdrop to another as we marked four years since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
The UK stood alongside friends and partners from across the diplomatic corps here in Berlin to honour Ukraine’s resilience and hear directly from the Ukrainians who have suffered from this barbaric attack. Their voices must always be at the heart of the drive for peace.
