📢 Patient Notice: USAG Bavaria Protection Exercise (Sept. 14–18)

Attention MEDDAC-B Patients across Tower Barracks, Rose Barracks and Hohenfels:

USAG Bavaria will conduct an installation-wide Protection Exercise from Sept. 14–18. Due to potential gate delays, please plan to arrive early for your medical and dental appointments.

: U.S. Army Garrison Bavaria will conduct an installation-wide Protection Exercise from Sept. 14–18.

As we recognize September as National Preparedness Month, this exercise helps strengthen our community’s readiness and reinforces the importance of staying prepared.

Community members at Tower Barracks, Rose Barracks, Hohenfels, and Garmisch may experience temporary impacts to services during this period.

• Expect possible traffic delays at the gates.
• Always carry two forms of valid ID.

MEDDAC-B HHC Change of Command

On 26 June 2026, at the MEDDAC-B HQ, the MEDDAC-B Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC) observed the time-honored military tradition of the passing of the guidon as CPT Mendrix I. Punzalan relinquished command to CPT Joshua M. Godsey.

The organization extends its deepest gratitude to CPT Punzalan for his outstanding service and exceptional leadership during his time in command. His unwavering dedication to the Soldiers, Civilians, and the overall mission has left a lasting, positive impact on the formation.

As MEDDAC-B bids farewell to one dedicated leader, it proudly welcomes another. The unit looks forward to the vision and continued excellence that CPT Godsey will undoubtedly bring to the position as the new HHC Commander.

STRONG MEDICINE. FORTRESS OF HEALTH.

On June 17–18, 2026, MEDDAC-B partnered with the 7th ATC’s Combined Arms Training Center to execute the landmark Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) Tier 4 Combat Paramedic/Provider (CPP) course.

This high-intensity training certified top-tier U.S. medical providers and fully integrated German Bundeswehr paramedics, forging a seamless, multinational medical team capable of delivering advanced, life-saving trauma care in complex environments.

The event was underscored by a high-profile visit from BG Mark Stackle and CSM Kalani Kalili. Their presence emphasized the critical importance of NATO interoperability and the need for integrated, combat-credible medical forces.

DENTAC Bavaria Change of Command Ceremony

On May 1st, 2026, the DENTACB Change of Command Ceremony at Rose Barracks Memorial Field marked a seamless transition of leadership and reaffirmed commitment to mission readiness.

Presided over by COL Colin T. Frament, Commander of MEDDAC Bavaria, the ceremony allowed the unit to bid a formal and grateful farewell to LTC Steven P. Delgado for his dedicated leadership. Simultaneously, the unit proudly welcomed the incoming Commander, LTC Keane Lindblad, as he assumed responsibility.

Following the time-honored military traditions, community and service members came together for a reception to celebrate this milestone. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped honor both of these exceptional leaders!

Where leadership begins and standards rise

The MEDDAC-Bavaria NCO Induction Ceremony welcomed the Army’s newest leaders into the Corps with pride, tradition and purpose. Surrounded by teammates, mentors and the legacy of those who came before them, each inductee crossed the line of responsibility and stepped fully into the role of a trusted enlisted leader. From the arch of honor to the recitation of the Creed, every moment highlighted what it means to lead with character, competence and commitment. Today’s inductees join a lineage of NCOs who strengthen readiness, uphold the standard and care for Soldiers and families across the formation.

Forging Leaders at Fortress Fortitude: MEDDACB Leader Validation Exercise

From 16-19 April, MEDDACB leaders successfully completed a rigorous 4-day Leader Validation Exercise at the Grafenwoehr Training Area!

MEDDACB Jr. NCOs, Warrant Officers, and Officers were challenged with critical leadership and tactical training, including land navigation, CBRN chamber exercises, and in-depth classroom instruction on Army Warrior Tasks. The event was designed to strengthen leadership, enhance readiness, and prepare our teams to support any mission, anywhere.
