Iaml congress 2026 | Call for papers and posters

We are pleased to announce that the call for papers and posters for the IAML Congress to be held at Thessaloniki Concert Hall (28 June – 3 July 2026) is now open.

Paper and poster proposals are invited on subjects related to music in libraries, archives, documentation centres and on music information provision in the wider community.

The deadline for submission of proposals is 14 December 2025.

The Congress is open to anyone with an interest in the field, regardless of IAML membership status.  

Proposals may be submitted in any of IAML’s official languages: English, French, or German.  

All speakers must be registered as a delegate to present at the Congress.

The IAML Online Events Committee is pleased to announce its upcoming event

🔹Questa settimana la Biblioteca nazionale centrale di Firenze ha partecipato al congresso internazionale IAML 2025 (Salisburgo, 6-11 luglio) organizzato dall' 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀, il cui obiettivo è sostenere le biblioteche e gli archivi musicali per promuovere progetti di documentazione e informazione musicale in ambito nazionale e internazionale.

🔸Durante l’evento, 𝗚𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗮 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝘇𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗶, dottoranda della Libera Università di Bolzano, e 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗶, responsabile del settore Sale di Consultazione e Musica della Biblioteca, 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗹 𝗹𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗼 𝗱𝗶 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼 𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘇𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝗶 𝗜𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼 𝗣𝗶𝘇𝘇𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼 𝗹𝗮 𝗕𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗮: 𝘂𝗻𝗮 𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗰𝗮 𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗹𝘁𝗮 𝗱𝗶 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶 𝗰𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗱𝗶 𝘂𝗻𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗶 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶 𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗶 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗼 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼.

Il congresso è stato anche l’occasione per condividere l’esperienza dell’esecuzione di alcuni brani inediti, conservati in forma manoscritta all’interno del fondo e trascritti durante il lavoro di studio. I brani sono stati eseguiti il 19 giugno, presso la Sala Galileo della Biblioteca, da studenti del Conservatorio L. Cherubini di Firenze, nell’ambito del ciclo di iniziative musicali Invito alla musica, organizzato in occasione della Festa della musica 2025.
