🧩 How do we actually move from “we should co-create” to designing a real co-creation process in practice?
PART 3 of our co-creation starter kit takes you step by step through the planning and implementation of co-creation in global health – from the earliest stages of a project to evaluation and reporting.
In this section, we explore:
🌱 Setting the stage
🧭 Stakeholder mapping
🔎 Needs assessment
👥 Recruitment
🛠️ Co-creation methods
🚀 Implementation
📊 Evaluation and reporting
🎥 This part also includes an example from the MBD-Free project in Zanzibar, showing one possible approach to designing co-creation around mosquito-borne diseases in practice.
📚 You will also find practical tools and resources, including planning templates, evaluation frameworks, and a methods selector tool with over 683 co-creation methods.

🚀 ADVANCE moves into large-scale trials after successful feasibility studies across Europe
After successful feasibility studies across Europe, ADVANCE has shown that scalable, digitally supported mental health interventions can be feasible, acceptable, and engaging across diverse populations.
Now, the project moves into large-scale randomised controlled trials and implementation studies, generating the evidence needed to support wider uptake and real-world impact.
Building on these promising findings, all ADVANCE sites are now launching large-scale RCTs and implementation studies running until the end of 2026.

🧩 What does meaningful co-creation facilitation actually look like? Explore our practical tips!
PART 4 of our co-creation starter kit focuses on the role of facilitation in co-creation processes. It explores:
✏️ What makes a good facilitator
⚖️ Managing power dynamics and ownership
🌱 Creating conditions for collaboration
🔄 Adaptive and inclusive facilitation
💬 Communication and relational skills
📊 Evaluation and reporting
A central message throughout this section is that facilitation is never neutral. It requires ongoing reflection on whose voices are heard, whose perspectives may be overlooked, and how decisions are made.
📒 Take out your pen and paper and capture as many facilitation tips as you can along the way.

🌍✨ A piece of good news we don’t hear enough of:
Denmark has just been certified by the WHO as the first EU country to eliminate mother-to-child transmission of HIV and syphilis 👶🩺 This didn’t happen overnight: it’s the result of years of care, prevention, and commitment to making sure every pregnant woman and every child is protected.

In a moment where we often hear what’s going wrong, this is a reminder that public health does work.
🎙️ If you’re curious about the people and stories behind progress like this, listen to our podcast with Ib Christian Bygbjerg, who was part of the HIV/AIDS response in Denmark.

This event hosted by and brings together youth, women, men, and public voices for an evening of honest conversations and collective action.
Periods are normal but the silence around them shouldn’t be ❤️
