Following HMS Duncan’s visit to Aarhus, we marked the occasion with a friendly UK–Denmark football match ⚽🇬🇧🇩🇰
Crew from HMS Duncan took on the Danish Military Police from Aalborg in great spirit, competing for ultimate bragging rights.
After a lively game, the Danish team secured a 6–3 win – but it was teamwork and camaraderie that truly won the day.
We look forward to the rematch!

🇬🇧🤝🇩🇰
Last week, near Aarhus, the Royal Navy’s HMS Duncan and the Royal Danish Navy’s HDMS Esbern Snare carried out a joint PASSEX.
From ship-to-ship manoeuvres to personnel exchanges, it was a powerful demonstration of the close partnership between the UK and Denmark at sea.
Working together. Learning together. Stronger together.

✈️ Travelling through Copenhagen Airport? Plan ahead
Following the introduction of the EU’s new Entry/Exit System (EES), you may experience delays at passport control when arriving at or departing from Copenhagen Airport on flights to or from non-Schengen countries, including the UK.
➡️ Allow extra time when travelling through the airport
➡️ Take any short onward connections into account when planning your journey
➡️ If you need assistance (for example, travelling with young children or with accessibility needs), speak to airport staff wearing yellow vests who are managing the queues
We recommend checking your flight details and allowing plenty of time to travel.

🪖 Over the past few weeks, NATO Allies, including Denmark, have been training together in Exercise Dynamic Mongoose in the High North/North Atlantic, sharpening anti-submarine warfare skills through close coordination between ships, aircraft, helicopters and submarines.
🔎 During the exercise, a Russian Navy intelligence ship, Yury Ivanov, was observed loitering nearby. Here you can see Royal Navy HMS Prince of Wales (top) and HMS Duncan (middle) keeping a close watch on the Russian Navy ship (bottom).
