L’ambassadeur a reçu les jeunes membres de l’Union Professionnelle du Secteur Immobilier (UPSI-BVS) en visite d’études à Copenhague pour en apprendre plus sur les derniers développements sur le marché immobilier danois.

De ambassadeur heeft de jonge leden van de Beroepsvereniging van de Vastgoedsector (BVS-UPSI) ontvangen, die op studiereis zijn in Denemarken, om meer te leren over de laatste ontwikkelingen op de Deense vastgoedmarkt.

Belgisch bier en Belgische kazen, een perfecte combinatie. 🇧🇪 Op het bierfestival in Kopenhagen vorig weekend, werd dit nog eens meesterlijk in de verf gezet op een tasting workshop met affineur Frédéric Van Tricht, waarvan de kazen met zowel trappist als lambic en kriek geproefd werden.

Bières belges et fromages belges, une combinaison parfaite 🇧🇪. Au festival de la bière à Copenhague, le week-end dernier, cela a encore une fois été magistralement démontré lors d’un atelier animé par l’affineur Frédéric Van Tricht, dont les fromages ont été dégustés accompagnés de lambic, trappiste et kriek.

Continuing his mission to Nuuk, the Ambassador met with Major General Søren Andersen, Chief of the Joint Arctic Command, to discuss security issues in Greenland 🇬🇱 and the North Atlantic, and challenges in the broader Arctic region.
He also had interesting talks with 🇩🇰 High Commissioner Julie Praest Wilche, as well as officials from the 🇬🇱 Ministries of Foreign Affairs and of Business, Trade and Mineral Resources.

On a mission to Nuuk this week, the Ambassador met with the Prime Minister of Greenland, Jens-Frederik Nielsen 🇧🇪🇬🇱. They discussed domestic and foreign policy issues, including how Belgium and the EU can support Greenland in these challenging times.
The Ambassador also participated in the « Future Greenland 2026 » conference, that concluded yesterday with an intervention by EU Commissioner for International Partnerships Jozef Sikela 🇪🇺. The European Union and Greenland are strenghtening their 40-year long partnership, to better drive investments that deliver.

17 May is the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia.

This year’s theme is « At the heart of democracy ». Belgium is convinced that promoting and protecting the human rights of LGBTQI+ persons contributes to more just, inclusive, and resilient societies, and is strongly committed to the promotion and protection of these rights, at both the European and international levels.

Deze week verwelkomden we op de ambassade leden van het HR-Netwerk van VLERICK Business School, evenals een groep studenten Global Business Management van VIVES Hogeschool in Brugge, op studiereis in Denemarken.

Cette semaine, nous avons reçu à l'ambassade des membres du réseau RH de la VLERICK Business School, ainsi qu'un groupe d'étudiants en Global Business Management de la haute école VIVES de Bruges, en voyage d'études au Danemark.

This week, members of VLERICK Business School’s HR Network, as well as a group of students in Global Business Management from VIVES Hogeschool in Bruges, on a study trip to Denmark, were welcomed at the Embassy.

Together, policymakers, industry leaders and experts from and explored how can contribute to industrial decarbonisation and competitiveness, and how cross‑border cooperation is essential to connect capture, transport and storage.
