90 years Loved… and still inspiring a nation 💛

Today, we celebrate an extraordinary woman — Ms. Dorothy Didier-Charles — a true daughter of the soil and a proud sporting icon of Dominica.

Ninety years of life. Ninety years of strength, resilience, grace, and legacy. A life that has not only been lived, but one that has poured into others, inspired generations, and helped shape the spirit of sport and community in our country.

At PHARCS, we have the privilege of caring for remarkable individuals… but every now and then, we are reminded that we are in the presence of greatness. Today is one of those moments.

Ms. Didier-Charles, your journey is nothing short of inspiring. Your quiet strength, your beautiful smile, and the legacy you carry continue to speak volumes.

As your son, Brinsley Charles, surprises you today, we join with him with hearts full of love, gratitude, and deep respect.

Last Friday, 20th March 2026, something truly special happened at PHARCS. Our Dementia Friendly Day was not just an event… it was a celebration of life, connection, and community.

From music and laughter… to crafts, shared meals, and heartfelt conversations — our seniors were not just present, they were engaged, valued, and full of joy. And let us be clear. Attendees were not just persons with Dementia and their carers. There were seniors and others who came to enjoy the day and what an amazing day it was too!

Joy and Purpose

Perhaps the most touching moment of all…
our seniors created their own “Thank You” posters — a simple but powerful expression of gratitude that says more than words ever could.
