President Nicolás Maduro denounced this Thursday before the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) that his counterpart from Guyana, Irfaan Ali, is holding meetings with authorities from the Southern Command. He assured that with this, they are not frightening Venezuela.
Attention, Caribbean, there is the Southern Command, and there they are trying to set up military bases in our Guayana Esequiba!
Who is the provocateur? Who is the ra**st? Who puts himself at the command of the warlike interests of the North American empire?
On this issue, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Yván Gil, warned about this visit to the Guyanese president, given what it means to be a military provocation.
The President of Guyana pays a visit to the Southern Command, and he is holding conversations at his military bases with the new head of the Southern Command. They believe they can scare Venezuela.
I tell Caricom, I tell the Prime Ministers of the Caribbean, pending with the former Cooperative Republic of Guyana, that I believe that its history as a cooperative republic betrayed it
Repudiating the presence of the US military authorities in the Essequibo area, President Maduro reiterated that it is illegal for this Southern Command to have command, decisions and all power in a Republic that is supposedly sovereign to attempt aggression against Venezuela.
The Southern Command, as you know, is an enemy of peace in Latin America and the Caribbean, so I make a call to the Caribbean to Caricom. Alert, alert, alert, the Southern Command is provoking our region,” he reiterated.
Finally, he regretted that Exxon Mobil is in charge of Guyana.
"Economically and politically, Exxon Mobil rules, nothing moves in Guyana if it does not have the order of Exxon Mobil. It is very shameful for the dignity of the people of the Caribbean," he said.

HAM BREAD IS VENEZUELAN*
In Caracas, lived Mr. Ramella, owner of the Las Gradillas Bakery and five other large bakeries, including El Guanábano, famous for its piquito bread (one of the most popular sayings was: the piquito bread is over and the one from a locha too) when some event broke the daily routine...
Montalbán, Ramella's rival, owned 3 more bakeries, including the one in San Juan, famous for its "island bread", exquisite to dip into coffee with milk.
The two most powerful bakers in Caracas were in an eternal competition, they identified their delivery people with a letter R and an M, the most aggressive of the two was Ramella and the hardest blow he dealt to Montauban was when he published the photographs from the Las Gradillas Bakery in El Cojo Ilustrado, where the bakers appeared with hats and uniforms.
Another point of honor for both bakers was the creation of ham bread, some chronicles say that it was invented in 1905 in the Ramella Bakery, which was on the corner of Gradillas.
However, there was another famous bakery, “Solís” by Francisco Banchs & C.A., and some believe that it was there where ham bread was made for the first time and the person who made it was old Francisco Banchs, of Catalan origin, who arrived in Venezuela. in 1890.
The first proof that ham bread existed in Caracas is found in the newspaper “El Constitucional” (No. 1826, December 21, 1906, in a 3-column notice that says: Bread with ham. House specialties for Easter at 2,4,6 and 8 reales, Bakery of Sociedad Montalbán & C.A.
What is clear is that the Christmas ham bread is from Caracas
