For the love of our cities...

For the love of our cities, and of our urban heritage. In appreciation of the built “beauty” that surrounds us, and to the stories they tell; stories of people, families, businesses, government bureaucrats, colonial officials, entrepreneurs, locals, architects, enemies, friends, allies, bankers, clergymen, spies, communities, industrialists, minorities that may have once occupied them, that may have once left a mark. Here's to honoring the past, learning from the past and building on the past for there's no other way forward. Here's to recognizing the complexity of our history and of our peoples, and the need to be humbled by that complexity. Here’s to trying to peel off the the different layers that combined make up each and every single one of us, one layer at a time, one story at a time, one artwork at a time, one street at a time, one city at a time. I capture urban scenes that make me happy, or sad. Sharing what I see through the lens of my phone.
