Given the ongoing regional tensions, the Singapore Embassy in Cairo is updating our records of Singaporeans who are in Egypt. This will help us to reach out to you and provide timely updates and consular assistance, if and when necessary.

A Singaporean self-help group led by Ustaz Fizar Zainal was in Cairo to organise a humanitarian social service initiative in support of Palestinian refugees residing in Egypt between 24 February 2026 to 25 February 2026.

The initiative was carried out in close partnership with the Egyptian Youth Council (EYC), with the support of the Singapore Embassy in Cairo, which assisted in facilitating the connection between EYC and Ustaz Fizar Zainal.

A total of 500 hot Iftar meals and essential grocery supplies were distributed to approximately 100 families in the district of Doqqi.

تواجدت مجموعة سنغافورية للمساعدة الذاتية، بقيادة الأستاذ فزار زينال، في القاهرة لتنظيم مبادرة إنسانية لخدمة المجتمع، لدعم اللاجئين الفلسطينيين المقيمين في مصر، وذلك خلال الفترة من ٢٤ إلى ٢٥ فبراير ٢٠٢٦.

نُفذت المبادرة بالتعاون الوثيق مع مجلس الشباب المصري، وبدعم من سفارة سنغافورة في القاهرة، التي سهّلت التواصل بين المجلس والأستاذ فزار زينال.

وتم توزيع ٥٠٠ وجبة إفطار ساخنة ومواد غذائية أساسية على نحو ١٠٠ عائلة في حي الدقي.

Ambassador Dominic Goh met Chief Executive Officer of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Mohamed El-Gossaki recently to take stock of the bilateral economic partnership and discuss areas of future cooperation.

Ambassador Goh congratulated CEO El-Gossaki on his recent appointment and noted the growing interest from Singapore companies in the Egyptian market following the State Visit by President Tharman Shanmugaratnam in September 2025. Ambassador Goh also briefed CEO El-Gossaki on the Singapore companies present in Egypt, and exchanged views on how we could further expand our economic ties.

وهنأ السفير جوه الرئيس التنفيذي الجوسقي على تعيينه، وأشار إلى الاهتمام المتزايد من الشركات السنغافورية بالسوق المصرية عقب الزيارة الرسمية التي قام بها الرئيس ثارمان شانموجاراتنام في سبتمبر 2025. كما أطلع السفير جوه الرئيس التنفيذي الجوسقي على الشركات السنغافورية العاملة في مصر، وتبادلا وجهات النظر حول سبل تعزيز العلاقات الاقتصادية بين البلدين

Ambassador Dominic Goh was back in Tripoli recently to attend a meeting between the Asian Heads of Mission and His Excellency El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity. Minister El-Baour affirmed the Government of National Unity’s commitment to supporting and enhancing partnership relations with Asian countries, and discussed the prospects for economic and investment cooperation with Asia.

Ambassador Goh also had a productive meeting with Mr Mohamed Raied, Chairman of the General Libyan Union of Chambers, who gave a briefing on Libya’s economy and the investment opportunities in the country.

عاد السفير دومينيك جوه مؤخرًا إلى طرابلس لحضور اجتماع بين رؤساء البعثات الدبلوماسية الآسيوية ومعالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي في حكومة الوحدة الوطنية. وأكد الوزير الباعور التزام حكومة الوحدة الوطنية بدعم وتعزيز علاقات الشراكة مع الدول الآسيوية، وناقش آفاق التعاون الاقتصادي والاستثماري مع آسيا.

كما عقد السفير جوه اجتماعًا مثمرًا مع السيد محمد الرعيض، رئيس الاتحاد العام لغرف التجارة والصناعة والزراعة الليبية، الذي قدم عرضًا موجزًا ​​عن الاقتصاد الليبي وفرص الاستثمار المتاحة في البلاد.

Ambassador Dominic Goh called on His Excellency El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Libya, at the Libyan Foreign Ministry in Tripoli. Minister El-Baour and Ambassador Goh discussed ways to strengthen bilateral collaboration, especially in the area of human resource development, and affirmed the good cooperation between Singapore and Libya in multilateral fora. Ambassador Goh was also briefed on the economic opportunities in Libya.

The Embassy would like to thank our colleagues at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Libya for facilitating the successful visit and we look forward to visiting Tripoli again in the near future.

استقبل سعادة السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير مهام وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، السفير دومينيك جوه، بمقر وزارة الخارجية الليبية في طرابلس. وناقش الوزير الباعور والسفير جوه سبل تعزيز التعاون الثنائي، لا سيما في مجال تنمية الموارد البشرية، وأكدا على التعاون المثمر بين سنغافورة وليبيا في المحافل الدولية. كما أُحيط السفير جوه علمًا بالفرص الاقتصادية المتاحة في ليبيا.

وتتقدم السفارة بالشكر لزملائها في وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي الليبية على تيسير هذه الزيارة الناجحة، وتتطلع إلى زيارة طرابلس مجددًا في المستقبل القريب.

Ambassador Dominic Goh was honoured to present his credentials on 17 January 2026 to His Excellency Mohamed Younis Al-Menfi, Chairman of the Presidential Council of the State of Libya, at the Abu Sitta Palace in Tripoli.

During the call on President Al-Menfi, Ambassador Goh conveyed the well wishes from President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and expressed his hopes for expanding the Singapore-Libya relationship in the political, economic and cultural fields. Ambassador Goh also welcomed more Libyan officials to participate in our capacity building courses under the Singapore Cooperation Programme.

The Embassy looks forward to working with our Libyan counterparts to take our relations to the next level.

تشرف السفير دومينيك جوه بتقديم أوراق اعتماده في 17 يناير 2026 إلى معالي السيد محمد يونس المنفّي، رئيس المجلس الرئاسي لدولة ليبيا، في قصر أبو ستة بطرابلس.

وخلال لقائه مع الرئيس المنفّي، نقل السفير جوه تحيات الرئيس ثارمان شانموجاراتنام، وأعرب عن أمله في توسيع العلاقات السنغافورية الليبية في المجالات السياسية والاقتصادية والثقافية. كما رحّب السفير جوه بمشاركة المزيد من المسؤولين الليبيين في دورات بناء القدرات التي تُقدّمها سنغافورة في إطار برنامج التعاون السنغافوري.

وتتطلع السفارة إلى العمل مع نظرائها الليبيين للارتقاء بالعلاقات إلى آفاق جديدة.
