معهد تكنولوجيا المعلومات يشارك في معرض "ديزاين شو" 2026

تشارك أكاديمية الفنون الرقمية والتصميم بمعهد تكنولوجيا المعلومات، للعام الثالث على التوالي، في فعاليات معرض "ديزاين شو" المنعقد في الفترة من 14 إلى 16 مايو في القاهرة.

وخلال فعاليات المعرض، تشارك الأكاديمية في جلسة حوارية بشأن التعاون لبناء المسار المهني، حيث تستعرض دور المنح والبرامج التدريبية التي يقدمها المعهد في سد الفجوة بين التعليم الأكاديمي واحتياجات سوق العمل المتغيرة في قطاع التصميم، إلى جانب دعم تأهيل الكوادر الشابة للمنافسة في سوق العمل، واستعراض قصص النجاح الملهمة التي حققها خريجو برامج المعهد.

وتأتي مشاركة المعهد في إطار جهود وزارة الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات والهيئات التابعة لها في دعم الابتكار والإبداع وربط التكنولوجيا بمختلف القطاعات الصناعية والإبداعية، منها صناعة الأثاث والتصميم.

وجدير بالذكر أن أكاديمية الفنون الرقمية والتصميم تقدم تجربة تعليمية عملية متكاملة تساعد المصممين على تطوير مهاراتهم وبناء مسارات مهنية قوية في تخصصات متنوعة تشمل تصميم الأثاث، والتصميم المعماري وتصوره البصري، والتصميم الداخلي وتصوره البصري.

ITI Participates in The Design Show 2026

The Information Technology Institute (ITI) Digital Arts and Design Academy is participating, for the third consecutive year, in The Design Show (TDS EXPO) 2026, held on May 14–16 in Cairo.

The Academy is contributing to a session titled “Let’s Build Your Career Together.” It explores how ITI’s scholarships and training programs help bridge the gap between academic learning and the evolving needs of the design industry, while empowering young talent to compete in the job market and showcasing inspiring success stories from ITI graduates.

ITI’s participation is part of the efforts of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and its affiliates to support innovation and creativity, and to integrate technology across diverse industrial and creative sectors, such as the furniture and design industries.

جامعة مصر للمعلوماتية تنظم معرض التوظيف وفرص التدريب بمشاركة 15 شركة رائدة

نظمت جامعة مصر للمعلوماتية معرض التوظيف وفرص التدريب، لطلاب السنة النهائية بالجامعة وخريجيها، وذلك يومي 11 و12 مايو بمقر الجامعة في مدينة المعرفة بالعاصمة الجديدة.

وشارك في المعرض 15 شركة رائدة في قطاع الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات، من مصر والمنطقة العربية وأفريقيا. وتنوعت مجالات الشركات لتشمل الذكاء الاصطناعي والأمن السيبراني والحوسبة السحابية والتحول الرقمي والبرمجيات والبنية التحتية التكنولوجية ومنصات الرعاية الصحية وحلول الدفع الإلكتروني والخدمات اللوجستية وحلول الطاقة المتجددة، وغيرها من المجالات الأخرى.

ووفر الحدث منصة تفاعلية أتاحت للشباب فرصة لاستكشاف مجموعة واسعة من المسارات المهنية وفرص التدريب، فضلًا عن الاطلاع على أحدث التوجهات في قطاع التكنولوجيا المتطور. كما أتاح الحدث للشركات المشاركة فرصة لاكتشاف المواهب الناشئة ممن يمتلكون مهارات رقمية وتقنية متقدمة.

وتفاعلت الشركات مع الطلاب من خلال العروض التقديمية والمقابلات الفورية والأجنحة التفاعلية، كما قدمت تدريبًا عمليًا على مهارات إجراء مقابلات العمل، بالإضافة إلى إتاحة رؤى قيّمة حول المهارات المطلوبة وآليات التوظيف وفرص العمل المستقبلية.

وجاء الملتقى في إطار مجموعة من معارض التوظيف التي تنظمها الجامعة بالتعاون مع الشركات العاملة بقطاع الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات، بهدف توفير فرص عمل وتدريب للطلاب والخريجين. وتوفر هذه الملتقيات فرصًا للتواصل المباشر مع أصحاب الأعمال وقيادات الشركات الصناعية والتكنولوجية العاملة بمختلف تخصصات القطاع.

EUI Hosts Careers, Internships Fair with 15 Participating Companies

Egypt University of Informatics (EUI) organized its Careers and Internships Fair on May 11–12 at its campus in Knowledge City, the New Capital, targeting senior students and graduates.

The event brought together 15 leading ICT companies from Egypt, Arab countries, and Africa. They spanned diverse fields, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, cloud computing, digital transformation, software development, technological infrastructure, digital healthcare platforms, e-payment solutions, logistics, and renewable energy, among others.

The Careers and Internships Fair provided a dynamic platform that empowered participants to explore a wide range of career paths and internship opportunities, while also gaining insights into the latest industry trends within the rapidly evolving technology sector. It also enabled companies to connect with emerging talents and identify potential candidates equipped with cutting-edge digital and technical skills.

The participating companies engaged directly with the students through presentations, on-the-spot interviews, and interactive booths. They also provided practical training on interview skills, alongside valuable insights into in-demand competencies, recruitment processes, and future career opportunities.

The event is one in a series of employment fairs hosted by EUI in cooperation with ICT companies to provide job and training opportunities for students and graduates. Such activities facilitate direct engagement with employers and officials from industrial and technology companies operating across various ICT specializations.

These events reflect the university’s commitment to enhancing youth employability, aligning academic learning with industry needs, fostering effective industry partnerships, and empowering students with practical experience to ensure they are well-prepared to excel in the highly competitive ICT job market.

EUI is the first university specializing in ICT and related sciences in the MENA region. واحات السيليكون تنظم النسخة الخامسة من فعالية "واحة كونكت" بالمنطقة التكنولوجية في بني سويف الجديدة

نظمت شركة واحات السيليكون النسخة الخامسة من فعالية "واحة كونكت" يوم 6 مايو بالمنطقة التكنولوجية في مدينة بني سويف الجديدة، وذلك في إطار الحرص على تمكين الشباب وإتاحة الفرص وتطوير قطاع التعهيد وتكنولوجيا المعلومات خارج نطاق العاصمة.

وتضمنت الفعالية جلسات نقاش متخصصة تناولت عدة موضوعات، منها مستقبل قطاع التعهيد في ظل الذكاء الاصطناعي، وسبل بناء المواهب وتنمية الكفاءات في المحافظات بعيدًا عن المدن الكبرى، وذلك بمشاركة نخبة من قيادات الشركات والخبراء والمتخصصين في مجال التكنولوجيا والتعهيد.

وشهدت الفعالية مشاركة لافتة من طلاب جامعة بني سويف التكنولوجية، الذين أبدوا مستوىً متميزًا من الإبداع والحماس، عكس حجم الطموح لدى الكفاءات الشابة في المنطقة.

واختُتمت الفعالية بتنظيم هاكاثون Tech for Impact، بالتعاون مع هيئة تنمية صناعة تكنولوجيا المعلومات (إيتيدا) في إطار مبادرة "مصر تصنع الإلكترونيات"، ومراكز إبداع مصر الرقمية، حيث تنافست أفرقة الشباب في تقديم حلول تقنية مبتكرة، وتم تكريم الفائزين.

Silicon Waha Hosts Waha Connect 5th Edition at New Beni Suef Technology Park

Silicon Waha organized the fifth edition of its annual event "Waha Connect" on May 6, at New Beni Suef City Technology Park. The event is part of the company’s efforts to empower talent, create opportunities, and advance the outsourcing and ICT sectors beyond the capital.

The event featured dedicated panel discussions that explored different topics, including the future of outsourcing in the age of AI, and strategies for building and developing talent in governorates outside major cities. The sessions brought together prominent industry leaders, executives, and specialists from the technology and outsourcing sectors.

Waha Connect also witnessed strong participation from students of Beni-Suef Technological University, who demonstrated remarkable creativity and enthusiasm, reflecting the significant potential of young talent in the region.

إيتيدا تُعلن الفائزين في مسابقة اختبار البرمجيات خلال "يوم اختبار البرمجيات"

أعلنت هيئة تنمية صناعة تكنولوجيا المعلومات (إيتيدا) الفائزين في مسابقة اختبار البرمجيات، التي أُطلقت في يناير الماضي، وذلك على هامش فعاليات النسخة الرابعة من "يوم اختبار البرمجيات" الذي نظمه مركز تقييم واعتماد هندسة البرمجيات، بمشاركة واسعة من الخبراء الدوليين والمتخصصين والطلاب والمهتمين بمجالات اختبار البرمجيات والتقنيات الحديثة.

وشهدت المسابقة مشاركة 128 فريقًا من جامعات وخلفيات مهنية متنوعة من عدة دول، من بينها مصر والمغرب وتونس وإندونيسيا ونيجيريا والأردن، بما يعكس تنامي الاهتمام بمجالات اختبار البرمجيات والذكاء الاصطناعي، وحجم الإبداع والابتكار لدى الشباب والمتخصصين، وقدرتهم على تطوير حلول تقنية مبتكرة تواكب متطلبات السوق.

هذا وتأهل إلى نهائي المسابقة 18 فريقًا، من بينهم 17 فريقًا من مصر، وفريق من الأردن، بواقع خمسة أفرقة ضمن فئة الطلاب، و13 فريقًا من فئة المتخصصين، فيما أسفرت التصفيات عن اختيار ثلاثة أفرقة فائزة من كل فئة، وجميعها من مصر.

واعتمدت عملية التقييم على مجموعة من المعايير التقنية، شملت أهمية الفكرة وتأثيرها العملي في معالجة تحديات اختبار البرمجيات، ومستوى الابتكار والإبداع في الحلول المقدَمة، إلى جانب جاهزية المشروعات للتطبيق، وسهولة استخدامها، وإمكانية دمجها مع الأدوات الحالية. كما تضمنت المعايير كفاءة توزيع الأدوار داخل الأفرقة المشاركة، وجودة عرض المشروعات والحلول التقنية أمام لجنة التحكيم التي ضمت 12 خبيرًا ومتخصصًا في مجالات جودة البرمجيات من شركات عالمية ومحلية، بالإضافة إلى خبراء من مركز تقييم واعتماد هندسة البرمجيات.

وفي فئة الطلاب، حصل فريق QualiaUI على المركز الأول وجائزة بقيمة 90 ألف جنيه، ذلك عن تطوير أداة مدعومة بالذكاء الاصطناعي لاختبار واجهات مستخدم تتيح إنشاء وتشغيل اختبارات آلية باستخدام اللغة الطبيعية. وجاء فريق Testly في المركز الثاني بجائزة قدرها 70 ألف جنيه، وذلك عن مشروع يعتمد على أتمتة اختبار واجهات برمجة التطبيقات باستخدام الذكاء الاصطناعي. وأما فريق M.H.M فحصد المركز الثالث بجائزة قيمتها 50 ألف جنيه، إذ قدم مشروع AgentJury، وهو منصة تعتمد على مجموعة من المحكّمين الآليين باستخدام نماذج اللغة الكبيرة لاختبار تطبيقات الذكاء الاصطناعي مع كل إصدار جديد، وقياس اختبارات الانحدار وإصدار تقارير بالأعطال المكتشَفة.

وفي فئة المتخصصين، فاز فريق QA Catalyst بالمركز الأول وجائزة قيمتها 160 ألف جنيه، عن تطبيق يساعد مختبري البرمجيات في إدارة عمليات ضمان الجودة. وحصل فريق Ostrich Team على المركز الثاني بجائزة قيمتها 120 ألف جنيه، عن مشروع يقدم منظومة متكاملة لإنشاء حالات الاختبار وكتابة النصوص البرمجية الخاصة بأتمتة واجهات برمجة التطبيقات باستخدام نماذج ذكاء اصطناعي. بينما جاء فريق Qbot في المركز الثالث بجائزة قيمتها 100 ألف جنيه، عن تطوير مساعد ذكي مدعوم بالذكاء الاصطناعي لتسريع أنشطة اختبار البرمجيات وتحسين دورة حياة الاختبار، مع الحفاظ على أمن البيانات وسريتها.

وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن هذه المسابقة تأتي ضمن جهود تعزيز المهارات الرقمية، وتوسيع قدرات الذكاء الاصطناعي في هندسة البرمجيات، وترسيخ مكانة مصر لتكون مركزًا تنافسيًا عالميًا لخدمات تكنولوجيا المعلومات والبرمجيات.

ITIDA Announces Winners of Software Testing Competition at Software Testing Day

The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) has announced the winners of the Software Testing Competition, launched in January, on the sidelines of the fourth edition of Software Testing Day. The event was organized by the Software Engineering Competence Center (SECC), with broad participation from international experts, specialists, students, and individuals interested in software testing and emerging technologies.

The competition attracted 128 teams representing universities and professional backgrounds across several countries, including Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Indonesia, Nigeria, and Jordan. The strong participation reflected the growing interest in software testing and Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the creativity and innovation demonstrated by young talents and specialists in developing market-oriented technological solutions.

A total of 18 teams advanced to the final stage, including 17 teams from Egypt and one from Jordan, with five teams competing in the student category and 13 teams in the professional category. Three winning teams were selected from each category, with all awards secured by Egyptian teams.

Projects were evaluated based on several technical criteria, such as the significance and practical impact of the idea in addressing software testing challenges, the level of innovation and creativity in the presented solutions, implementation readiness, usability, and integration capabilities with existing tools. The evaluation process also considered team collaboration and the quality of project presentations delivered before the judging panel, which included 12 experts and specialists in software quality from international and local companies, in addition to experts from SECC.

In the student category, QualiaUI secured first place and a prize of EGP 90,000 for developing an AI-powered user interface testing tool that enables automated test creation and ex*****on using natural language. Testly came in second place with a prize of EGP 70,000 for a project focused on AI-driven API testing automation. Meanwhile, M.H.M won third place and EGP 50,000 for AgentJury, an AI system that uses multiple automated judges powered by large language models to evaluate AI applications at each release, assess regression, and generate defect reports.

In the professional category, QA Catalyst won first place and a prize of EGP 160,000 for developing an application that helps software testers manage quality assurance processes. Ostrich Team secured second place with a prize of EGP 120,000 for a project offering an end-to-end framework for generating test cases and developing API automation scripts using multiple AI models. QBot came third with a prize of EGP 100,000 for creating an AI-powered QA assistant designed to accelerate software testing activities and improve the software testing lifecycle (STLC), while maintaining data security and confidentiality.

The competition is part of broader efforts to strengthen digital skills, expand AI capabilities in software engineering, and position Egypt as a competitive hub for global IT and software services.

ICT Minister Participates in Roundtable on AI, Digital Technologies at Africa Forward Summit

Minister of Communications and Information Technology Raafat Hendy has participated in Africa Forward Summit: Africa–France Partnerships for Innovation and Growth, in Nairobi, Kenya, as a member of the Egyptian delegation led by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

Hendy contributed to a roundtable on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital technologies. It addressed strengthening the strategic partnership between Africa and France to develop sustainable and resilient AI ecosystems across the continent. Discussions centered on three key pillars: enhancing digital and computing infrastructure, supporting training, research, and innovation ecosystems, and strengthening the ethical and responsible governance of AI to safeguard digital rights and the public interest. The event brought together senior African officials.

In his remarks, the ICT Minister emphasized that AI is driving a strategic shift in global development and competitiveness. He explained that AI has evolved beyond being solely a technological matter and is now intrinsically tied to the future of economies, digital sovereignty, and nations’ standing within the emerging global economy.

Hendy further stressed that Africa’s AI future should be built upon a unified continental vision, balanced partnerships, and equitable access to advanced digital infrastructure to support inclusive development aligned with local priorities and national goals. He affirmed Egypt’s aspiration to work closely with African brotherly countries to advance this shared vision.

The ICT Minister highlighted Kenya’s position as one of Africa’s leading hubs for digital innovation and entrepreneurship. He added that Africa is witnessing growing momentum in the development of national policies, governance frameworks, and innovation ecosystems that ensure that AI advances the continent’s development priorities. Hendy further emphasized that the adoption of the African Union’s Continental AI Strategy in 2024 constituted a major milestone toward forging a shared African vision founded on development, capacity building, and data sovereignty.

Egypt believes the real challenge facing Africa today lies not in a lack of talent, but rather in the limited access to computational infrastructure and the continued dependence on models and technologies developed outside the continent, the ICT Minister highlighted. He emphasized that Egypt has made significant progress in establishing a national institutional framework for responsible AI, alongside investments in sovereign, scalable, and adaptable digital models and foundations. A flagship initiative is the Arabic LLM “Karnak,” which marks a major step toward developing AI systems that better reflect local languages and community needs.

Hendy highlighted Egypt’s efforts to harness AI across the education sector, government services, and healthcare, thereby strengthening the link between innovation and and its direct development impact. These efforts have contributed to Egypt’s improved performance on the Government AI Readiness Index 2025, where it moved up 14 spots to rank 51st globally.

The ICT Minister emphasized that Egypt supports the development of integrated African innovation ecosystems that bring together governments, the private sector, universities, and entrepreneurs, alongside investment in African youth capacities as the key driver of the continent’s future.

It is noteworthy that Africa Forward Summit is taking place on May 11–12. It aims to enhance African French partnership while addressing key challenges in economic growth, digital transformation, energy, and global financial reform, as well as the integration of African priorities into global economic frameworks. The Summit is attended by African leaders, the President of France, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, and heads of regional and international financial institutions, alongside representatives of the African and French business sectors.

مصر تشارك في اجتماع مجلس الاتحاد الدولي للاتصالات 2026

شاركت مصر في أعمال دورة مجلس الاتحاد الدولي للاتصالات لعام 2026، التي انعقدت في الفترة من 28 أبريل إلى 8 مايو في جنيف، سويسرا. وضم الوفد المصري مسؤولين من وزارة الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات، وعدد من أعضاء البعثة الدائمة لمصر لدى الأمم المتحدة في جنيف.

وفي كلمة مصر خلال الجلسة الافتتاحية، استحضر الوفد تاريخًا مشتركًا مع الاتحاد يمتد لنحو قرن ونصف القرن، إذ تُعد مصر من الدول المؤسِسة للاتحاد منذ عام 1876. وأكدت مصر في هذه المناسبة دعمها الثابت لولاية الاتحاد ودوره المحوري في تعزيز التنمية المستدامة، مع إيلاء اهتمام خاص باحتياجات الدول النامية.

ومن أبرز ما تضمنته الكلمة أيضًا الإشادة بمسيرة التعاون المتنامي بين مصر والاتحاد، لا سيما التوقيع الأخير على اتفاقية بشأن تأسيس أحد مراكز تسريع الابتكار التابعة للاتحاد الدولي للاتصالات على الأراضي المصرية، في خطوة تعكس التقدم اللافت الذي أحرزه قطاع تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات في مصر، وتجسد في الوقت ذاته مكانة مصر على خريطة التنمية الرقمية على المستويين الإقليمي والدولي.

وأبدت مصر دعمها القوي لجهود الاتحاد في مجال حوكمة الذكاء الاصطناعي، مُثنيةً على دوره في استضافة الحوار العالمي بشأن حوكمة الذكاء الاصطناعي، وإسهامه في الأمانة المشتركة للفريق العلمي الدولي المستقل المعني بالذكاء الاصطناعي.

هذا وشارك الوفد المصري في جلسة بشأن حماية الطفل على الإنترنت، حيث أشادت مصر بجهود فريق العمل المعني بهذا الملف، وبتقريره، وأكدت على ضرورة استمرار أعمال فريق العمل واستكمال مسيرته. وأبرزت الكلمة الأهمية الاستثنائية التي توليها مصر لهذه القضية، لا سيما أن الأطفال يُمثّلون نحو 36% من المجتمع المصري وهم رهان المستقبل. كما كشف الوفد عن توجّه مصر نحو تطوير أطر تنظيمية بالتعاون مع مشغلي الاتصالات لحماية الأطفال من الأخطار الرقمية، واختتم بتجديد الدعم المصري الكامل لاستمرار عمل الفريق في المرحلة المقبلة.

واستنادًا إلى أكثر من خمسة عقود من العضوية المتواصلة في المجلس منذ عام 1973، أعلنت مصر رسميًا ترشُحها لعضوية مجلس الاتحاد الدولي للاتصالات للدورة الانتخابية المقبلة، مؤكدةً عزمها على مواصلة أداء دور بنّاء داخل الاتحاد، والتحلّي بروح الشراكة الفاعلة في خدمة رسالته الرامية إلى تحقيق المصلحة المشتركة لجميع الدول.

وعلى هامش فعاليات الاجتماع، عقد الوفد المصري اجتماعات ثنائية مع مسؤولين من عدة بلدان، منها الولايات المتحدة وروسيا والصين وزامبيا، بهدف تعزيز التعاون في المجالات ذات الصلة.

Egypt Participates in ITU Council 2026

Egypt participated in the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Council 2026 session, held from April 28 to May 8 in Geneva, Switzerland. The Egyptian delegation included officials from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the Permanent Mission of Egypt in Geneva.

Speaking during the opening session, Egypt's delegation drew on a relationship with the ITU that stretches back nearly 150 years. As one of the Union's founding members since 1876, Egypt used the occasion to restate its unwavering support for the ITU's mandate and its vital role in advancing sustainable development, with particular emphasis on the needs of developing nations.

A highlight of Egypt's statement was the recognition of deepening bilateral cooperation, most notably the recent signing of an agreement to establish an ITU Acceleration Center on Egyptian soil. The move is both a testament to the remarkable strides Egypt has made in its ICT sector and a signal of the country's growing influence in regional and international digital development.

Egypt also voiced strong support for the ITU's work on AI governance, commending the Union’s role in hosting the Global Dialogue on AI Governance and its contribution to the joint secretariat of the Independent International Scientific Panel on AI.

Contributing to a session on child online protection, the delegation commended the work of the Council Working Group on Child Online Protection and its report, stressing the importance of allowing the Group to continue and build on the progress it has made. The delegation underscored Egypt's deep commitment to this issue, noting that children make up around 36% of the Egyptian population and represent the nation's future. Egypt also shared its plans to develop regulatory frameworks in collaboration with telecommunications operators to protect children from digital threats, and closed by reaffirming the country's full and continued support for the Working Group's work in the period ahead.

Building on more than five decades of continuous Council membership since 1973, Egypt formally announced its candidacy for the ITU Council in the upcoming electoral term, reaffirming its ambition to remain a constructive voice within the Union and a champion of its mission to serve all nations equitably.

On the sidelines of the event, the Egyptian delegation held bilateral meetings with officials from the U.S., Russia, China, and Zambia, with a view to strengthening cooperation across areas of mutual interest.

Egypt's participation in the session reflects its commitment to shaping a secure, inclusive, and innovation-driven digital future, as well as its active engagement in ITU activities. This engagement is evident in the prominent leadership roles Egypt currently holds across key ITU Council bodies, including the Chair of the Expert Group on International Telecommunication Regulations and Vice-Chair positions in both the Council Working Group on Financial and Human Resources and the Council Working Group on the Internet, a testament to the country's sustained presence and institutional depth within the global telecommunications order.
