Geographic Information Systems Analyst

*Location:**
Ras El Hekma, Marsa Matrouh , Egypt (Full Accommodation Provided)
*Job Description:**
We are seeking a highly experienced
*GIS Analyst**
to join an International organization working on a large-scale infrastructure project in Ras El Hekma. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering advanced geospatial analysis and supporting planning, design, and ex*****on across complex infrastructure developments.
Develop, manage, and analyze geospatial data to support infrastructure and urban development projects
Perform advanced spatial analysis, mapping, and data visualization using GIS tools
Integrate GIS data with other platforms such as BIM and enterprise data systems
Support project planning, site analysis, and decision-making through accurate geospatial insights
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, planning, and project management
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project standards
Prepare high-quality maps, reports, and presentations for stakeholders
*Requirements:**
Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Urban Planning, Engineering, or a related discipline
Master’s degree is preferred (relevant experience may substitute for postgraduate studies)
7–10+ years of experience in GIS and spatial analysis
Strong experience in infrastructure, urban development, or large-scale projects
Proven experience working with reputable consultants, PMCs, or multinational projects is preferred
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and coordination skill
Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) – Mandatory
Strong expertise in spatial analysis, mapping, and geospatial data management
Ability to integrate GIS with BIM and other digital platforms
Strong reporting and presentation skills

Senior GIS Business Analyst

Accountabilities and Duties:
Implement analysis activities during both pre-proposal preparation and implementation phases
Gather customers’ business and user requirements including (orientation sessions, questionnaires preparation, requirements gathering interviews, findings workshops)
Analyze business and user requirements to address customer needs and recommend optimum business solutions, while informing the client of realistic technical constraints.
Interpret business and user requirements into clear and comprehensive documentation
Support design, development and testing teams during implementation and transfer business knowledge.
Support RFI/ RFQ/RFP business inquires and proposals preparation
Experience and Qualifications Required:
4-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent
Fluency in English and Arabic language
Background in GIS is preferred
Awareness of technicalities and Industry-related trends is a must
A very good understanding of the business and the business cycle
with exposure to different markets

Buffer in ArcGIS Pro Lecture 🌎
الـ Buffer في ArcPro هو أداة تُستخدم لإنشاء منطقة عازلة حول معالم معينة، مثل نقاط أو خطوط أو مسطحات. يتم تحديد حجم الـ Buffer بوحدات معينة (مثل متر أو كيلومتر) من المعلم، وتساعد هذه الأداة في تحليل المسافات بين المعالم أو تحديد المناطق التي تتأثر بمعالم أخرى.
أهميته وأهدافه :
1. تحليل القرب (Proximity Analysis): تحديد المناطق القريبة من معلم معين، مثل معرفة المناطق القريبة من نهر لمسافة 500 متر.
2. التخطيط واتخاذ القرار: مثل تحديد المناطق المناسبة للبناء بعيدًا عن مصادر التلوث.
3. التحليل البيئي: دراسة تأثير المشاريع على البيئة المحيطة.
4. تحليل الشبكات والخدمات: معرفة عدد السكان في نطاق 1 كم من مستشفى معين.
