_Tourist Visa_ :
1.- Visa Form-509 duly completed
2.- One (1) picture
3.- Copy of passport valid for at least six (6) months
4.- Approval of parent or guardian, if applicable
5.- Documents proving financial solvency (bank letter, letter of job titles)
6.- Legible photocopy of National Identity Card and legible photocopy of the residence Card if you live in a second country.
7.- Legible photocopy of hotel reservation
8.- Legible photocopy of flight reservation
9.- Legible photocopy of previous Dominican visas (if it is a renewal or has previously traveled to the Dominican Republic). Visa Fee: US$80.00
_REQUIREMENTS FOR WORK VISA (NM)_
1.- Form 509-Ref
2.- Two Pictures
3.- Copy of the passport
4.- Original work contract at least one year effect, specifying position of the employee in the company and income (This one has to be legalized by the Ministry of Work in Dominican Republic, and attached to it the Resolution that is a document issued by the Ministry of Work that legitimate the contract )
5.- Criminals Records, this document is valid only for 30 days.
6.- Heath Certificate, antidumping and HIV test, all of then legalized by the nearest Dominican Republic Consulate.

_REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENT VISA (E)_
1.- Form 509-Ref.
2.- (1) front pictures
3.- ID Copy
4.- Copy of the passport
5.- Documents of the University or High Studies Centers, that certify the definitive acceptance to the University or High Studies Center. This document must specify the level of studies, the selected institution and the career duration or master.
6.- Letter directed to the holder of the corresponding consular representation, properly legalized, and signed by the father, tutor or person who covers the expenses of the student during his/her stay in the country. Also this letter must define the economic status of the guarantor and includes the following documents: Bank letter that certify the type of account, employment letter, financial certificate, property certificate. If this letter is made in Dominican Republic most be legalized and register in the Office of the Attorney General of Dominican Republic
7.- Scholarship letter if it the case of the institution that will sponsor in the country of origin, and must specify the amount of the financial support for the scholarship and the duration, in stamp paper of the institution and certified by the corresponding institutions.
8. - Health Certificate, AIDS and Antidoping test.
9. - Police Certificate with no criminal records
10. - Authorization letter from parents in case of minors under 18 years old.

_Residence Visa_
The residence visa is the first step to obtain the residence card in the Dominican Republic. The Ministry of Foreign Relations recommends that the process begin prior to the person arriving in the DR, although it can also be carried out once the person is in the country. Is given to travelers who have the purpose to establish in the Dominican Republic permanently. Once in the Dominican Republic, the beneficiary of this visa must head to the Department of Migration to formalize the steps of his residence, and must complete additional requirements that it demands. In order to apply for a residence visa you must submit the following documents:
1.- Letter of application signed by the applicant or legal representative and addressed to the Consul or, in case the person is already in the DR, the Minister of Foreign Relations
*The letter of request can be issued by an individual or a company.
*If the application is filled out by an individual it should contain: individual's name, nationality, place of residence, and the activity to which the applicant is or will be dedicated in the country.
*If the application is filled out by a company, in addition to the data on the applicant, the request should be made on company stationery, and signed by the highest ranking officer of the company, indicating the position the applicant will hold.
2 .- Visa Form duly filled and completed in type or print clearly
3. - One (1) picture size 4 x 5 inches, front view and white background
4.- Valid original passport.
5. - Document showing the reason why the visa required, it may often be due :
a) Dominican by origin. b) Married to a Dominican. c) Have a work contract, legalized by the Ministry of Labor. d) Proof of economic solvency (investor, retiree).
6.-Certificate of non Criminal Records issued in the jurisdiction of origin. If the beneficiary has been more than three months in the country, it needs to be issued by the competent local judicial authority.
7.-Medical Health Certificate. Issued in the jurisdiction of origin. If the applicant has been living more than three months in the country, a recent medical certificate should be presented, legalized by the Ministry of Public Health (SESPAS).
8.-Original Birth Certificate of the applicant, translated into Spanish.
9.-Certificate of the Department of Migration with proof of the last entry of the person to the country and copy of the Tourist Card
10.-Documents showing the applicant's financial solvency. All documents must be in local investments on behalf of the applicant and the guarantor. These documents may include as applicable: a) Letter of Bank: updated with details of the account balance, b) Copies of certificates of titles of movable or immovable property (must present the original at the time of deposit), c) Registration company established, duly registered with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, including the company's status (for investors); d) Copy of last tax return to the Directorate General of Internal Revenue and copies of the return of the National Register Taxpayer (for investors) e) Copy of Financial Certificates f) Letter of Labor or the Pension and g) All documents must be issued by institutions located in the country, does not accept accounts or property abroad, must be local investments on behalf of the applicant and the guarantor.
11.-Letter of Guarantee (Notarized). Signed by Dominican or legal resident alien in the Dominican Republic and must specify the type of relationship that links it to the beneficiary of the visa. Also, the guarantor undertakes to the Dominican authorities to resolve any expenses incurred by these beneficiary's account of the visa. Just as the guarantor remain committed financially in the event that is required deportation of the recipient for having violated Dominican law. This letter of guarantee must be performed by a notary of the Dominican Republic and legalized by the Attorney General's Office. Observations:
1. All documents received from abroad need to be legalized by the Dominican consulate in the corresponding jurisdiction.
2. All documents need to be presented in original and four copies with the exception of the passport.
3. The passport needs to be valid for a minimum of three months after having been deposited for the visa.
4. If the application includes the spouse, a marriage certificate should be included.
