Final days to apply for study assistance in Adeje

The Education Department reminds students in the municipality that 13 October is the official deadline for submitting applications for financial assistance towards the purchase of technological equipment.

The scheme, launched by the Education Department for the 2026/2027 academic year, has a total budget of €150,000.

Eligible applicants and requirements

Students studying at university, taking a qualifying master’s degree or enrolled in a Higher-Level Vocational Training programme.

Applicants must have been registered as residents in Adeje for at least one year.

🤝 Adeje continues to make progress on the Municipal Addiction Prevention Plan, approved by the Town Hall’s Plenary Council.

During the technical working session, professionals from different departments at Adeje Town Hall met to coordinate actions, share approaches and continue developing a comprehensive plan involving all municipal services.

The meeting provided an opportunity to present key indicators, establish the basis for annual monitoring and highlight the prevention work already being carried out across the municipality.

Prevention is built through coordination, listening and working together.

⛪🎙️ Adeje enjoyed a very special day with the celebration of Mass, the presentation of the Lieutenant General’s sash to Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación and the opening speech for the 2026 Patron Saint Festivities.

The afternoon began at Santa Úrsula Church with a religious ceremony of great significance for the municipality and for devotion to Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación.

The Adeje Auditorium then hosted the opening speech for the Patron Saint Festivities, officially marking the start of several days of community, tradition, culture and participation.

Adeje has now officially opened its 2026 Patron Saint Festivities, in honour of Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación, Santa Úrsula and San Sebastián.

Radio Sur Adeje new season launch
Adeje Town Hall, through Radio Sur Adeje, has launched the new season of its local radio station with “Buenos días Adeje”, a morning programme broadcast from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 12.00 noon, on 107.9 FM. The programme is presented by broadcaster Víctor J. García, together with journalist Carol Correa and broadcaster Yolanda Hernández. The new season will bring the radio station closer to the community, with live programmes from different locations linked to major and smaller events taking place across the municipality.

Adeje Town Council has completed a number of minor works and improvements across the municipality.

The work includes new improvements to parking areas in Callao Salvaje, as well as improvements to landscaped areas and trees along Avenida Ayyo in Las Torres.

These works are part of the ongoing maintenance and improvement of public spaces, with the aim of continuing to respond to the needs of the different areas of Adeje.

We continue working to care for and improve the municipality, neighbourhood by neighbourhood.

🎙️ Radio Sur Adeje has started a new epoch with “Buenos días Adeje”, a new programme created to bring the local radio station even closer to the community.

The first programme brought together people from different backgrounds, along with the whole radio team, to share their voices, experiences and welcome messages.

IES El Galeón also took part, highlighting the importance of school radio and communication as key tools in today’s society.

A great start, with plenty of participation, community spirit and enthusiasm for continuing to make radio in Adeje.

Adeje Patronal Fiestas 2026
Lieutenant General Julio Salom Herrera, head of the Canary Islands Military Command of the Spanish Army and commander of the Land Operations Command, officially opened the Adeje Patron Saint Festivities 2026.

In his opening speech, he highlighted the loyalty shown by generations of Adeje residents in keeping their promise to accompany their Virgen. He also spoke of the close ties between the municipality and the Spanish Armed Forces.
